He'll use the slingshot against you, I'm pretty sure it's the first or second mission, and after you beat him up, and watch the mission passed thing, it will be in your inventory.

To get the wood slingshot you have to beat the mission where the greaser shoots a slingshot at you then you chase him down beat him, and take his slingshot. And to get the super slingshot play the mission Canidates (I think that's what it's called).

I always thought that game looked kinda lame.

It's good. If you call beating the crap out of people fun. (I do). Graphics arn't the best on the PS2 though. The best part of it is the spud gun wich I used to knock the cop off his bike. It's simalar to GTA but there's no killing or blood.
