This was very useful!! I wish I has seen it before sewing up my latest project (a fox), I just couldn't understand the instrucion that was on the pattern, nothing made sense, but now I am crystal clear!!
Hi, thank you for the great tutorial. Your video demonstrates the chain edge stitch with stockinette stitch. I have squares I need to seam that have a chain edge stitch with a garter stitch. How can I use the mattress stitch with my squares? When I pull my stitches apart, I do not have any bars as you demonstrated in the video. So, I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to grab. Thanks for the help.
Your videos are the best very clear and concise. As I do the stitch, I am reminiscent of my mom being next to me and trying to explain (her patience was very thin) but at least you don't rip it out!!! and I can watch it over and over until 'I get it'....LOL! I always thought I was slow but it may have been the way it was explained....Thanks!
I can't possibly add a comment that hasn't been already said. Thank you for your video and converting this whip-stitcher to a mattress-stitcher easily and quickly!
Thank you so much! This is really clear and easy to see. I have a really nice and delicate top I am making, and I couldn't seam it properly, but I think I can now thanks to you :)
All the other video's are a bit difficult to see what's happening, and books I have on knitting make Mattress Stitch sound uber complicated, and when you look at the diagram and read the notes, my brain scrambles!
Thanks sooo much. This is the ONLY video I have ever seen that actually shows the stitches close enough that you can we can see what you are doing. Now I finally know where to place the needle for this stitch. A+
I have watched several videos on this process...Yours is the only one that makes sense to me. Thank you so much for getting the camera close to the project so that I can see where to put the yarn. Many videos only showed how to do this so far away I didn't understand what stitch they were talking about...Again THANKS!
I'm making hats with straight needles and it just says sew seem together, well that looked like crap so I found this... the hat looks soooo much better. Thanks alot !!!
that is so cool
