He is just so out of this world awesome - absolutely mindblowing. never seen a drummer like him. good thing i stopped playing years ago, cos otherwise i would watch this and weep. to play like this is a special innate gift.
It's good to know one of the best in the business is just as obsessed with symmetry as I am. That gives me hope that some day I won't be absolute garbage like I am now.
if someone ask me some day, who is the best drummer in the world, i would have two answers.. one: antonio sanchez because he is a monster in jazz, latin jazz in every time signature, samba, beme and even rock, and two: thomas lang, because he can play any ostinato, ANY, he can play blast beats, latin, fusion etcetc, for me they are the two most complete drummers in the world, point
@popytherev you should check out gergo borlai, he's just as crazy he just doesn't have six pedals, and ya gotta admit tony royster is up there too when it comes to the best drummers
@popytherev I will aggree with your two answers and add one more. Dylan Elise . You gotta (if you haven't already) see some of this guys stuff. Especially the Jazz and Funk. The kid is incredible!!!

one bad part about Lang is that he has so much stuff hooked up to pedals that you can't see everything he's doing w/o two cameras.
