McDowell is playing the(rather reluctant) hero with a burdensom conscious here. Shaw odviouly less so, more an anti-hero, not evil in any way, but McDowell usually plays the complete asshole and "bad guy".

It is very surprise to see this film in here. The original version is burnt by fire.

Thank you for this very rare film and the good quality of the image. "figures..." manages to be an intiguing parable and a breathtaking action movie. A very unusual, but in this case perfectly succesful, combination.
