A few calibers of handgun ammo continue to occasionally go on back order, but for the most part there is no widespread shortage of ammo.

This problem is admittedly, at least in part, due to the election of Obama & gun owners stocking up on their favorite calibers.

@andrademeza Yeah, it's not nearly as much of an issue as it was a year or so ago.
A few calibers of handgun ammo continue to occasionally go on back order, but for the most part there is no widespread shortage of ammo.
As to the bullets flying, let's hope it never happens... of course, if it does, the end result would likely give new meaning to the term, 'ammo shortage.'

Unless criminals come to fear and respect the laws of the land, as well as those who inhabit it, no amount of dime-store feel good devices will have much of an effect... a long rope, electric chair, lethal injection, these are the things that make crime an unattractive prospect.

Yes it would require transfer of ownership of bullets to registered - which would cost. Effectively preventing you from selling very small amounts of bullets.
If a crime is commited with your bullet it wouldn't be sufficient to prosecute you - it would make you a suspect though yes. Most murders ARE COMMITTED BY PEOPLE WHO KNOW THE VICTIM not gangs

The Heller case protects an individual's right to possess a firearm for private use in federal enclaves (ie Washington D.C.). The legal precedent has been set the logical step is this protection extends outside of federal enclaves (ie the states). So your fear mongering is no longer needed.

the second amendment was actually created not so that Americans could fight foreign invaders, but primarily so that Americans could fight against their own government. The founders intended for Americans to always have weapons as good as or better than the military of the government. Therefore, we should, according to the Constitution, have automatic firearms. The only people who should be carrying guns -The Miltary, police. This should not be a free for all cowboy mentality. Whilst ordinary people including kids have access to weapons then we will continue to have more mass murders. There is no justification to support it -unless of course, you are totally insecure.

If you're going to disarm civilians then, why not disarm the military and police as well?
There is plenty of 'justification' to support gun ownership, grab a copy of the National Rifleman and read the 'Armed Response' column.

Police cant be everywhere at all times, and chances are, if someone with a gun comes into your house the police and military are not going to be able to help you in time. So yes, it makes logical sense, but only if you don't look at it too closely.

@andysamba Yeah, I do have my fists, and I don't think I will shoot myself in the head, because I have experience with guns and I know how to handle them properly to avoid such an accident. That's a terrible thing to say, by the way. Also, asshole, In most cases, criminals have more than their fists to fight. If they don't have a knife on them they've got a gun. Unless you can stop bullets with your hands, I suggest you shut the fuck up because clearly you don't know what you're talking about.
