The version of Seal Driver is even proggier, the studio version is a bit harder. The moog and soft gutar makes it spacier. The version of Songs from the wood is also amazing.
I love "Songs from the wood" ...but what makes me really angry is the fact that the a capella part except for Ian's voice is a playback and the other band members are pretending that they sing...that sucks! They should have had the courage to sing the a capella live although it's a hard one...or play the other voices with their instruments or a vocal effect... I can not ignore that and enjoy the performance...it's poor...
Do you think so? Of course, a couple of years after this, Ian did damage his voice and has never completely recovered it, but to me it sounds fine here, particularly on Seal Driver.
Listen to other performances from this year... his voice is thin and nasally compared to the studio recordings and compared to the "A" tour just a year before.
I admit I haven't listened to 'Broadsword' for quite a while now, but to me this doesn't sound significantly different from the record - it is in quite a high register for Ian, and I think there was a change in the timbre of Ian's voice between 'A' and 'Broadsword'. I've been to a lot of Tull gigs over the years, and up to the Under Wraps tour, Ian's voice was great. Sadly, we all know what happened then... But it's improved in recent years and Ian is careful to look after it now. Happy xmas.

Actually "regio di" means "directed by", so the video has been directed by a guy named Sergio Spino. ;-)

Ian's voice is really struggling here... still a good performance, though.

follow white flecked spindrift float on a moonkissed sea."
Thank you Ben. Seal Driver is one of my all time favourites!
