NYC is definitely a wonderful place with great musicians. However, I invite you to come down to Washington, DC and take a listen to Orquesta Sin Miedo "live" one of these Friday nights. You'll be pleasantly surprised. Que viva la rumba y que viva el swing sabroso!

Too bad DC doesn't have daily, weekly or even monthly free outdoor salsa concerts all summer long like NYC. Orquesta Sin Miedo, Orquesta La Romana and the other lesser known DC salsa bands are decent, but its a grain of sand on a desert compared to what you find in NYC or even LA for that matter.

Great stuff. For all those salsa bands out there gigging there is nothing like a NYC salsa band.
