  • did they go after the people who killed her? or at least try to stop kids from being used for sex? im sure thats what she would have wanted...

  • @lunatiko2005

They should go after the Peace Corps for putting her there to begin with, she was inserted into an African Village with no support or security, just a 24 year old white girl in Africa? Basically she got raped and murdered by wild niggers, what did they think was going to happen to her? The world isn't like a Disney cartoon, and fuzzy thinking libtards need to wake the fuck up.

Oh wait...."we're all the same, it's only skin color". LOLOLOLOL

  • saw her on 20/20....this is so sad :-(

  • White girl going to Africa? That's a darwin award.

  • @MrMadmardin men are horrible wherever you go so its just not about africa. I live in Japan and my Japanese friend went to live in the usa. She was raped by the so called big time christian dad. Most japanese would say... japanese girl going to america. thats a darwin award. So my friend there is violence everywhere. Africa has many resources and yes there is a lot of violence but we have to do something to overcome that and work for peace throughout the world.

  • @MrMadmardin I think when they send women over to those unstable areas they should not go alone. Those women that kate was also trying to help out were abused also so i know they appreciate her help. But hate has too much of a strong hold in this world. I would love to work in part of africa and help people but I am afraid of the same thing happening to me also. so I commend Kate for her bravery.

  • This trubite to Kate is so beautiful and touching that I couldn't help but get goosbumps watching it, it really touched me. She seemed like an incredible, amazing person. I also lost my sister in Africa, and it's really hard losing a person you love but how much more when they are so special, so gifted, so loving. But our comfort is in knowing that they accomplished their mission in this world and that now they are in paradise in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • I had the chance to share a dinner with Kate in 2007 at her host family in Lokossa, where she was learning the Benin local language, just before moving to her community north of Benin. I have one word in mind when I remember her: smile, what a beautiful smile she had. I'm returning to Benin in 2 days, before I leave, I look again at this video and remind how Kate shone with happiness when I met her at the beginning of her Benin journey.

  • I wasn't able to view this video till now but will light a candle for Kate today. I met Kate through my younger sister who was a close friend of Kate's. What I remember most about Kate was that she was always smiling and brightened a room simply by entering it. Her inner joy, compassion, and caring nature shone behind that smile and I know that the world was a better place with her in it. However, in her memory, we all can do our part to continue her work. My thoughts & prayers are w/her family.

  • Its very sad what happened to her. I know her mom and dad......they teach at my school. Today (March 11, 2010) is the day that she was killed last year. At my school, we lit candles in honor of her wonderful spirit. I may not have known her directly, but I do know her. She was a wonderful person, always doing things for the world. And no, she never wanted anything in return. Please ask me questions about her if you need to. I can answer any questions you have. And please Light A Candle For Kate

  • My candle is burning in honor of Kate....such a wonderful tribute to a wonderful person. May her light always shine. My heart, my prayers and my love go out to all the Puzey & Benson Family. God Bless You All. Mary Lee Sims Robinson

  • I will light a candle for Kate and for all the good she represented. My tears are still flowing yet I know her story will continue to push me towards social justice in our world. Love from a Peace Corps sister, Teresa Rugg
