  • you just have to leach the acorns until bitterness is gone. RED OAKS have leaves with spines on the edges of leaf lobed and are more bitter than White oaks. Swamp White oak, Chestnut Oaks, are some of the biggest and easiest to process because bitter tannins are very low in these acorns, but Sawtooth in video has the must tannins in all acorns so I showed you all can be used.

  • I collected some acorns from my front yard and tried processing them. The flavor was too strong for me. I want to try again with your explanations. How do I know which are the best acorns to pick?? thanks so much, tereza
