Napoleon Total war is NOT truly a multiplayer campagin. Its basicly a massive death match between you and other players. Your forced to play as factions you dont even control. I asume they did this to keep people from being bored but what they fail to remember about map gamers is we dont mind waiting. Look as masters of orion 3 =)

i have played every total war game from shogun to empire and i gotta say empire tw sucks balls, i got a i7 950 gtx 295 12gb ram and this game stutters and looks like crap, and the gameplay has taken a step backwards u wud be better off goin back to mtw2 there are some great mods out for that

yea that processor is a to little slow. it would probably work for most games, but empire total war is cpu intensive because of its very large scale. it might work on smaller unit scales, but i dont think u can set that on the demo. if u really want to play it get a intel quad-core or something.

Ahaha, I gave up long ago....I actually like Warcraft (Not WoW), but not Starcraft. Starcraft takes a cool setting (Warhammer 40k) and makes it lame.....and slow paced. It is just so cool you can fight the revolution in this game, then make an Empire....is the French Revolution in it? Thats kind of just as important.

the demo was pretty much crap but of course the designers have to put final touches on the game. its not the demanding of a games, i ran it on max settings. If the bugs are still in the final game the designers will of course release a patch for it.

Hmm, I lowered my res and upped all the fun stuff, anti A-Antro x 8 - V Sync - Distortion - And the game ran like silk.

The sound was still buggy as fuck. Did you hear the death sounds? It was like hearing Barney Gumble dying over and over.

It ran great on my computer, maxed on everything with about 60fps all along, not near as demanding as for instance Crysis.

The gameplay in the tutorial was crap, the AI was totally fucked up. But it got MUCH better when i played a real fight, and i really enjoyed it. But the cavalry had their "usual" bugs, refused to charge. Other than that, the infantry fights looked more realistic (much like Medieval 2 but you could see an improvement).

The demo is awful. Sound issues, poor animation, and 5 minute loading screens, even when you do something simple like minor in-game graphics tweaks. They used to be instant in med2.

With Graphics turned way up the eye candy, for the land battle, was barely an improvement on med2 Vanilla, but with much lower frame rates.

I hope they haven't ruined the game with this new engine. I hope the full game is better than this horrible demo.

Those melee animations are the best in the series to date. My frames are fine on ultra with 4x anti aliasing and 16x anisotropic filtering.Load times, yeah a bit steep. Remember its just the demo I expect we'll all get better performance out of the box.

Animations shouldn't bug out like that, the frame rate wasn't bad, but wasn't great considering the so so visuals.

The cannon crew reloading animation doesn't work, they just hold that plunger stick in their hands, parallel, but not inside the barrel, whilst I can hear the scraping sound of them reloading. The same goes for the infantry, all very shoddy.

The Cavalry charges aren't good either. Very lacking is suspense compared to MED2.

I just hope there were some bugs within the demo.

Everything I'm saying negative about ETW is based on direct comparison with it's predecessor. So far I'm worried. I wish they hadn't changed the game engine. This new one is going to be such a drain of people's hardware they're going to have to play the game with worse graphics than MED2.

IMO they should have just tweaked the old engine, like they did from RTW > MTW, made a new engine just for the sea battles and concentrated the rest of their efforts on the campaign gameplay.

I just don't see much improvement in terms of graphics, but the game runs a lot slower than MED 2.

youll get a high detailed map of the world, and around 6-7 extra units, this will only be available for special forces edition. according to the leatest news you can use those units online.

I pre ordered the special forces edition, mostly because i like to have a map next to me when i play. its so much cooler if you want to plan an attack.
