"Israel (as)" means "Shall struggle with/against God (His wishes)" It comes from the Semitic Triconsonantal "SRA" which is translated as struggle against: In Hebrew, Arabic, Aramaic, ect. "Ismael(as)" was named "God hears your call" because he heard the call of Hajar (as).

The promise wasn't made to Hagar. It was made to Sarah and Abraham and that was the promise God was keeping.

Regarding your suggestion of a covenant with Ishmael, even Yahweh Himself didn't recognize Ishmael as a son of Abraham after Ishmael and Hagar were thrown out of Abraham's house.

What you read is the English translation, the Hebrew original version does not says the "Your Only son" it means "Your special son". The Hebrew word used is "Yeidicha" and not "Ha Yahid". What you read is mistranslation and also stupid since at the same chapter it already speaks about Ishamel. Also btw Ishmael was 50 at the time of Issac sacrifice who was 37 and were not little kids as you might think.

Look around you and see who is more blessed. There are more than 1.3 Billion Muslims in the world and the whole Middle East (with the exception of a small strip of land in Palestine) belongs to the Muslims and Ishmael. Actually, the more correct opinion is that the majority of the Dead Sea Scrolls date from the 1st century of the Christian era. There are tons of evidences to show that.

You really don't know Genesis, do you? God promised Abraham a son. Abraham jumped the gun out of disbelief and conceived with Hagar, thus giving birth to Ishmael. God fulfilled his promise, however, and Sarah conceived Ishmael by Abraham's seed. Therefore, Isaac is the legitimate son who carries the legacy of the Abrahamic Covenant because he is the fulfillment of God's promise/grace. See the notes of the Orthodox Study Bible. Ishmael traveled to Paran in Cannan and married an Egyptian.
The Torah received in front of over 2 Million witnesses who heard God's own voice which said Moses is his prophet and all he says we should listen to. A mega event which all they were present said to God ALL that you will give us we will do and follow no questions asked. This is how the Hebrew Torah is received in a mega event to be remembered forever.

There was a Great Rabbi who died two decades ago. His name was Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson. He was a good Rabbi, gave many prophecies that came true and had thousands of followers. He never said he was the Messiah, but after his death his followers claim he is the Messiah and are a sect within Judaism called "Chabad" who think their Rabbi is the Messiah. Similar to the story of Jesus and early Christianity,may be in 2,000 years we will have another religion called Chabadism

At the time of Jesus the knowledge of Torah and the secrets of Torah were much greater. The Rabbis were not impressed with Jesus "miracles" since many people could do what he did including raising the dead. Also the ancient Egyptians could do magic to fool the people, so the opposite is true, magic was never a reason for Jews to accept a prophet. The signs for a prophet are very clear and were laid down by Moses in specific details, Jesus & Muhammad didn't give ONE prophecy!

Matthew 21 was written 300 years after Jesus death and after the Jews were already exiled. Deut. 28 was written approx 1300 years before Jesus. The exile of the Jews and their return to Israel was written long before Jesus and did not happen because of us rejecting Jesus.
Also the last Exile of Ishmael and the problems we have today with the decedents of Ishmael were foretold 2000 years ago.

@isralien23 Read wisdom 2&3.prophecy of the life of Jesus, beliefs of the sadducees at the time of Jesus (who did not believe in life after death) & then it tells us in chapter 3 that at the time of visitation of God these men will rule the nations. Of course all the martyrs of israel, the maccabees for eg will be part of that future redemption of israel as it even says so in Daniel 12:3. Also read Daniel 7 where jesus will descend. consider isaih 53, zech 12:10, 13:7 onwards etc. many proofs.
Also Deuteronomy 28:64 it clearly says the exile will be among all nations from one side of the world to the other while the Exile of Babylon means Jews were exiled to Babylon and not all over the world.
These "prophecies" you talk about can be clearly answered by the Video I supplied. For example corrupting the word "Alma" as virgin by Christians to link in to Jesus when every Jew who can read Hebrew knows Alma means young woman and "Betula" means virgin.

@isralien23 Acts is not 'the word of God' it's the accounts of the followers of Jesus. You could compare it to hadiths and since it is written by non-prophets (like many parts of the OT like kings) there's always the possibility of something being a little off the mark, but don't act like large parts of the bible aren't the same. Ecclesiastes, presents Solomon as the wise king, but Kings calls him a Blasphemer. The Qur'an defended Solomon.

'Gospel' means good news, there was no original 'Gospel' inthe form of a book, it was just the 'good news' given through Jesus and then written down. the Gospel, is inspired by God just as the Sunnah of Prophet Mohammad SAW is inspired by God but the books in which they're written in only a reflection that 'gospel' . It is the 'gospel' not the book, we must believe in.

Not trying to 'convert' you because i don't even believe early christianity was a religion...but it was a spiritual Order within Judaism and Jesus was the head (similar to sufi orders within islam). Please read Matthew 23..you MUST believe in him (but not in the way xtians expect you to believe in him. To reject God's Prophets is to reject God.
There are over 80,000 religions and cults in the world. All received by one man who had no witnesses. The only religion received in front of 2 million witnesses who saw great miracles and heard God's voice testifying Moses as his prophet and the Torah as his book. Since than we kept the Torah as was taught by Moses and when the "Old Testament" says you should not add or delete from it there is no need for me to even bother to read the "New Testament".

This is as exact as a prophecy can be. Showing the places, the order they came and the signs of these religions. What else can you ask for?

The word "Religion" does not exists in the Hebrew Bible. There isn't such a thing. The word religion is a Persian word that showed first in the scroll of Ester. When the Torah says "Other Gods" it does not refers to idolatry but to other way than the one of Torah. When it says Wood & Stone It does not means you will worship wood or stone, these are just the signs or clues God gave us to recognize them when they will come. The Wooden Cross & The Kaaba are the signs.

Here, plainly stated in the Koran, that Israel is the covenant people.

We gave the "good news" means "news from God" via an angel messenger. No angel was ever sent to Abraham to announce the birth of Ishmael and this is born-out by all of the Holy Scriptures. He was born because of Sarai (Sarah) not because of God and was born to an Egyptian surrogate-mother, called Hagar.
All of the references of "good news" refer to Isaac and not to Ishmael, proving that the Meccans changed the name Isaac for Ishmael in Sura 2:125 and 127.

Abraham married after Sarah died, so as far as a sons, Abraham had more children.The sons were given gifts and sent away. Isaac was given the promise. Ishmael's daugher married Esau, but God did not chose Esau. Ishmael is not a prophet, but Kings would come from him. You can't invent history, it was clearly purposed by God and written that the chosen line was through the seed of Sarah as wife because God's covenant was made to both Abraham and Sarah as one, Ismael was born by Sarah's suggestion

There can never be another israelite prophet and God sent a Gentile/ishmaselite Prophet to bring a universal Law, greater than the mosaic law. This law was necessary for ALL people just as the mosaic law was necessary for the progress of israelites. What you read is the English translation, the Hebrew original version does not says the "Your Only son" it means "Your special son". The Hebrew word used is "Yeidicha" and not "Ha Yahid". What you read is mistranslation and also stupid since at the same chapter it already speaks about Ishamel. Also btw Ishmael was 50 at the time of Issac sacrifice who was 37 and were not little kids as you might think.

You really don't know Genesis, do you? God promised Abraham a son. Abraham jumped the gun out of disbelief and conceived with Hagar, thus giving birth to Ishmael. God fulfilled his promise, however, and Sarah conceived Ishmael by Abraham's seed. Therefore, Isaac is the legitimate son who carries the legacy of the Abrahamic Covenant because he is the fulfillment of God's promise/grace. See the notes of the Orthodox Study Bible. Ishmael traveled to Paran in Cannan and married an Egyptian.

The prism itself appears as light but obviously isn't The light. tbh I can't really judge any living jew for not believing in him as they never met him but a lot of what i've read in the OT matches Jesus. Read Wisdom 2&3 for example, clearly a text which unifies the islamic rebuttal of the 'death' of Jesus and xtian beliefs.

There was a Great Rabbi who died two decades ago. His name was Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson. He was a good Rabbi, gave many prophecies that came true and had thousands of followers. He never said he was the Messiah, but after his death his followers claim he is the Messiah and are a sect within Judaism called "Chabad" who think their Rabbi is the Messiah. At the time of Jesus the knowledge of Torah and the secrets of Torah were much greater. The Rabbis were not impressed with Jesus "miracles" since many people could do what he did including raising the dead. Also the ancient Egyptians could do magic to fool the people, so the opposite is true, magic was never a reason for Jews to accept a prophet. The signs for a prophet are very clear and were laid down by Moses in specific details, Jesus & Muhammad didn't give ONE prophecy!

Matthew 21 was written 300 years after Jesus death and after the Jews were already exiled. Deut. 28 was written approx 1300 years before Jesus. The exile of the Jews and their return to Israel was written long before Jesus and did not happen because of us rejecting Jesus.
Also the last Exile of Ishmael and the problems we have today with the decedents of Ishmael were foretold 2000 years ago.

@isralien23 Read wisdom 2&3.prophecy of the life of Jesus, beliefs of the sadducees at the time of Jesus (who did not believe in life after death) & then it tells us in chapter 3 that at the time of visitation of God these men will rule the nations. Of course all the martyrs of israel, the maccabees for eg will be part of that future redemption of israel as it even says so in Daniel 12:3. Also read Daniel 7 where jesus will descend. consider isaih 53, zech 12:10, 13:7 onwards etc. many proofs.

You could compare it to hadiths and since it is written by non-prophets (like many parts of the OT like kings) there's always the possibility of something being a little off the mark, but don't act like large parts of the bible aren't the same. Ecclesiastes, presents Solomon as the wise king, but Kings calls him a Blasphemer. The Qur'an defended Solomon.

@isralien23 one part of the torah eg the book of daniel talks about the messiah coming with power on the clouds of heaven,but on the other hand the book of zachariah talks about the messiah riding into jerusalem humbly,now he cant come both as a humble and lowly guy and a powerful guy at the same time,so this indicates that he will first come as a humble spiritual leader and than return as a powerful king,this is what the new testament and islam believe

@exposemyfoes yr 681 was supposed to be the date the jews were prophecied to conquer jerusalem and receive redemption, although it was supposed to come from menahem ben amiel (ben david)....but instead the muslims conquered jerusalem as you know. If you read up on menahem ben amiel, he is alive and locked away. He will 'appear with the clouds of heaven' when he is transported by the seraphim (jinns not angels). He probably is dajjal as the shoe fits in many ways.

A Messiah can't be humble and powerful at the same time? Why? Today we don't have the Temple or the "Sanhedrin" who were the judging power who judged according to Torah. Camels are just like pigs they are not kosher because they don't have split hooves & chew their Cod. However a Jew can eat Giraffe or Antelope they are Kosher animals. Shell fish, oysters, combining Milk & Cheese are also forbidden but Muslims eat them. The Prophets definitely didn't eat these things...

Not trying to 'convert' you because i don't even believe early christianity was a religion...but it was a spiritual Order within Judaism and Jesus was the head (similar to sufi orders within islam). Please read Matthew 23..you MUST believe in him (but not in the way xtians expect you to believe in him. To reject God's Prophets is to reject God.

There are over 80,000 religions and cults in the world. All received by one man who had no witnesses. The only religion received in front of 2 million witnesses who saw great miracles and heard God's voice testifying Moses as his prophet and the Torah as his book. Since than we kept the Torah as was taught by Moses and when the "Old Testament" says you should not add or delete from it there is no need for me to even bother to read the "New Testament".

@isralien23 btw, Prophet Mohammad SAW legitimised the Torah when he judged jews according to their own laws in the Torah ie the punishment for adultery. You talk big about the Torah but do any of you keep the laws, if so why aren't adulterers stoned to death? This is the kind of hypocrisy Jesus was bringing to light and explaining why even looking at a woman lustfully is just as bad as adultery, harsh....but if you were to receive the grace of God through Christ you'd overcome the power of sin.

At this time the Jewish religion is not complete and we can't perform many of the Laws and commandments. The main reason is because we still don't have our Temple and many things like sacrificing, priesthood and many other things can not be done.
In Deuteronomy 13 God does foretells Christianity and Islam and their prophets, the prophets of Wood (wooden Cross) and Stone (Kaaba Mecca), "the dreamer of dreams" Non Israelite and an Israelite who will be put to death, just read.

Prophet Mohammad SAW, his entire message was about leaving behind polythiesm and returning to the religion of Abraham (makes sense since muslims are circumcise, sacrifice etc. He even judged jews according to their own laws and the Quran intructs jews to follow their torah...and of course he smashed the idols in Kaba (not unlike abraham who smashed the idols in the temple). Neither of the 2 prophets taught idol worship, but many jewish 'false prophets' did.

It is not saying Idols it is just giving the sings of the religions which are wood cross and the Kaaba so the Jews will know how to recognize them when they come. One prophet is a dreamer of dreams non Israelite (night journey, palm growing from his hand) who will try to take the Jews from the way of Torah and follow other ways.
The other an Israelite who will do the same and will be put to death. An exact prophecy that came true describing the two prophets.

The prophecy in Duet 13 is not talking about the Jews in Exile. However Duet 28 does speak about the Jews in Exile in a prophecy that did come true which said that Jews will live in the lands in which they will suffer and will be forced to follow the false religions of Wood (wood cross Christianity) and Stone (Islam, mecca Kaaba). This is as exact as a prophecy can be. Showing the places, the order they came and the signs of these religions. What else can you ask for?

@isralien23 Deut 13 has nothing to do with it, nor does it mention wod, stones etc. so lets stick with Deut 28:49 onwards which is actually talking about Babylon/Assyrias invasion and the subsequent destruction of 'israel' and the scattering of the 10 tribes. Not the latter destruction which came in 70AD or the maccabean revolt which was only the destruction of 'judah' but here Moses spoke to all the 12 tribes. I guess you don't even know your own book.

Israel was destroyed by the assyrians and 10 tribes, scattered. Therefore by the lions share amount itself it has to be speaking of the Assyrian conquest not the romans. As for idols, israelites worshipped idols already and that's why they were scattered, so dont blame romans.

Why mention both as 1? because Prophet Jeremiah revealed them together. so obv what moses said, referred to these chain of events mentioned in book of jeremiah. The word "Religion" does not exists in the Hebrew Bible. There isn't such a thing. The word religion is a Persian word that showed first in the scroll of Ester. When the Torah says "Other Gods" it does not refers to idolatry but to other way than the one of Torah. When it says Wood & Stone It does not means you will worship wood or stone, these are just the signs or clues God gave us to recognize them when they will come. The Wooden Cross & The Kaaba are the signs.

The muslims believe the black stone is a powerful cleansing stone which was given to Abraham by Gabriel, so muslims respect it but obv don't worship it, or the kaba.
