  • ewww soo slow

  • darn it..i really wanted the blue package III :) love my silver bullet!!!

  • I recently test drove a Toyota Prius Hybrid. Although I was only able to test drive it for a few miles, my conception of the Prius is that it's a fuel efficient car. Those who own the car can speak more about it for they drive it daily. Good car in my opinion.

  • This guy is just awesome!!

  • Awesome car. Will sell more when gas reaches $7.00 to $8.00 a gallon.

  • That's how I like my car reviews; free of british accents.

  • I cant drive a prius. Im a teenager. enough said

  • I don't understand why this car is called the "Gay" car. You save gas, it's got craploads of tech within it. It looks really unique, and not just like your casual sedan. They're spacious, and high quality. Toyota's are good cars, I'm only 16, and my first car happens to be a 91 Toyota Camry. The only issue with it is the A/C not working. It's my first time ever riding in a toyota, and after college, I plan to own a Toyota Prius on lease. I just don't understand why it's the "Gay" car.

  • @Dleedude i meant it has no reverse gear.

  • U. S. Hybrid car sales figures are in for December, 2010. Fusion:1,438, Insight:1,637, Prius:15,639. That's roughly a 10 to one ratio against the competition.

And what happened to the Volt? Don't hear crap on it now. Toyota is kicking butt.

  • If you are looking for a fun winter sport, I've got the perfect one: get yourself any Prius with stock tires and take it to a snowy hill. Your challenge is to get to the top before Spring rolls around.

  • Check my COST OF PRIUS video ...

not a cheap car to own ... :-)

  • I LOVE my new Prius!! i have ONLY owned Honda's before this car. i traded in a 2008 Honda Fit Sport for a 2010 Prius II...got a great deal on it, from Truecar.com

with tax, tag, title, dealer fees, etc. only came to $23,000!!

with the Fit, i was only averaging 29MPG b/c i live in South Florida (Fort Lauderdale) and run the air conditioning year-round which takes a huge hit on gas mileage. with the Prius, i am easily getting 47MPG without even trying.

    the technology is amazing

  • Hibrids are not going anywhere people get use to them. don't understand what rednecks have against them

  • @GarrettKeetley ... I never said that the prius was a good car i have a 2004 Honda civic that get 45MPG. What make/model is your car btw

  • Toyota stole their hybrid technology from a russian engineer name Alex severinsky . Toyota has no shame and they already have over 7 million recalls in 2010 how many recalls is toyota going to have before more people get injured smh

  • @globalk100 I thought other car companies had the same issue? And I thought they just proved that it wasn't even toyota's fault? I'm pretty sure most car companies don't create EVERYTHING themselves. The fact that toyota has no shame about talking the idea means that they aren't denying it, meaning they're obviously giving credit where due. Toyota's are efficient, high quality, long lasting cars. My 2010 Pontiac Vibe GT looks nice, and drives nice, but has TONS of issues.

  • @Dleedude that 's pontiac 4 u ...lol

  • hybrids dont have alternators

  • u no this car doesnt have reverse

  • @suddenkilla24 Do you know a car wouldn't be sold without reverse? You couldn't park anywhere without reverse. I've seen the reverse, trust me, it has it. Not to mention, you can't spell worth crap, making anything you spout irrelevant to society.

  • Why does the back look so ugly- good review though

  • Well the 50 MPG is why anybody gets a Prius

  • The 90's? I wonder how those sawed off excellerator petals are working out for everyone? Toyota Quality?? LOL

  • I like the new prius, not the worlds best looking car but like a maserati compared to the older ones. I test drivin it around dublin but I managed to get 65mpg average and the power button is something that the prius desperately needed because in the old prius, overtaking was...not possible. What I don't understand is the solar roof, it's heavy, deer increases CO2 figures which is tax costly and would only make any sense if you lived in Spain or Italy. Not the UK, Germany, Ireland or Finland.

  • 30 grand????!!!! wtf

  • Sorry US cars now rule.... won't buy these anymore.

  • @uoyuoy444 Yeah, stop living in the 90s.

  • so with an hybrid you pretty much don;t need gas? you can just charge your car?? Pleaseeee let me know i'm going to be 16 soon and i will be able to drive.. i want to know about it.. and be green. :)

    -Thanks

  • With a hybrid, such as a Prius, you still need gas because it does not plug in. The gas engine is used to power the car and to run a generator to charge the battery.

  • @SuperRainbowVeins No, you still have to pay for gas. The hybrid works by using an electric generator along with gas.

  • @SuperRainbowVeins Hybrid has 2 motors, normal engine and a DC motor, when possible the engine will be turned off and it will use the DC motor, so basically at low speed you won't hear anything cuz it run on electricity

When the charge is inadequate and/or need more power, the engine will turned up and drive the car (at the same time charge the DC motor battery)

However hybrid car is NOT GREEN due to its battery, it is not what you drive but HOW you drive a car

  • American cars are now the best, I dont understand why americans bash america yet THERE STILL HERE, if american cars and america is so bad why dont you GET THE FUK OUT.

  • Prius

What does a Toyota Prius sound like when it drives by?

    IIII'mmmm gay

What does a Toyota Prius sound like when it idles?

    Homo Homo Homo

    - Jeff Dunham

  • wut sound is made wen a you made an unfunny joke?

    FAG, FAG, FAG

  • @georgianborat HA! Tooo funny! Check out Achmed..That's not a car, that is a lunch box!

  • mi want =D despite the recalls

  • Did ya' ever wonder why the Prius and Toyota are getting such bad treatment by the press lately? Is it floor mats, "sticky" gas pedals, faulty brakes, all kept somewhat vague?

Could it have anything to do with Toyota recently beating out GM as the biggest automaker? Or could it be that the Feds and Big Oil want us to burn MORE gas, since their revenues (profits and taxes) depend on it? Remember when gas was almost 4 dollars a gallon yet record profits for oil companies? Makes me wonder.

  • do your research.

  • Give me a break dort... prius accelerating to 90 mps on their own and not being able to stop them is a serious issue.

  • What is a "dort" and what is "mps"?

Your illiteracy is a serious issue.

  • dort.. the first 4 letters in your handle? You know you really hit a nerve when people dont engage the issue and attack your grammer/spelling.

  • Then what's "mps", miles per second? That's awful fast.

  • @rowland2110 Actually it's a non-issue considering that guy is a proven fake.

  • its undoubtly a great car of this era.

  • My diesel car does 55mpg in the town and 75mpg at 60mph on a motorway. So why would I want a hybrid costing twice as much? My car is also faster than the Prius !

  • @urbex2007 do u live in europe? cuz in america i dont think we are allowed to have diesel sedans.

  • I LOVE TOYOTAS

  • toyota has killed americans with defective cars and attempted too hide behind floor mats, hang your head in shame toyota, you cowards

  • american cars killed more amercians over the years....

  • he's hitting the touch screen really hard

  • Buy a Ford Fusion hybrid, its twice the car, better quality and will stop when you expect it too.

  • Ford is as crap as you can possibly get.

  • Highest quality of any manufacturer there buddy.

Go blog about your latte you fucking gaywad fanboy.

  • bull shit, high quality.............Ford is shit, I owned a couple of them, so I know......never again.

Ford bought the hybrid technology from Toyota.

Focus is a shitty car..........know what you are talking about you dumb ass.

  • Why is it that only Toyota is being attacked or criticized? What about Ford or the GOVERNMENT'S COMPANY GM? Are their cars all clear? without any kind of accidental problems???????Think about that!!!! When Toyota becomes number 1 in America, suddenly this kind of

national movement that was triggered by the media occurrs!! I feel government's oppression.

  • it's a Japanese company, not Chinese.

  • oops. eyes slanted wrong way. my mistake

  • This thing will be obsolete in less than 2 years WAY over priced cost saving is not justified.

  • really? haven't they been around for 10 years already? you fail.

  • 5 stars but it shoul of bin a more powerful car like the Toyota RAV EV 2003.The Prius has a very little electric motor it is still design to run petrol.HUHH STOP THE OIL LOBY !

ELECTRIC CAR + SOLAR POWER = FREEDOM !

  • i hate the eletric motor

  • I drive long distances and actually like the look of the 2010 Prius. My Prius is coming in now and I can't wait. It is one of the most comfortable cars i have sat in in a long time. and he didn't mention the tons of cargo space for a small car.

  • I live in London so avoiding the congestion charge was my reason for buying the old prius in 2007. Had a test drive of the 2010 model and was pleased with the power mode which you need for Hyde park corner and marble arch. Had one further test drive and ordered one. Delivery in December. This model feels like a proper car rather than a novelty and drives well on the moterway. It also looks better and the interior is more exciting. Can't wait for it to be delivered!

  • @sjspeller.; Good for you ! I hope that the hybrid and plug-in hybrid cars become the norm by 2020 !!

  • If your talking tech on this car is it not a glaring omission to leave out dynamic radar cruise control, pre-collision system, Lane Keep Assist, Intelligent Parking Assist, and voice-activated touch-screen DVD navigation system?

  • As a person moving to the 2010 prius... I was completely amazed at the G-force while in Power mode. I did not expect it at all. It drives just like a small 6 cyl vehicle. turn off Power mode and it is a mild-mannered cruiser which in my case is averaging 61mpg in town. (yes, I drive for mileage).

What a refined and wonderful driving machine!

  • The prius could be impressive with more torque in it's engine. The combined torque is only 102 ft lbs, which is why the 2010 car takes over 10 seconds to go from 0-60 mph. Toyota could also borrow from it's own RAV4 of the past to get the prius to, at least, travel at speeds up to 40 mph on batteries only to "up" the city mileage to over 100 mpg, while continuing to use gasoline for the highway.
