I spent 3 months in Sicily this summer, I am woman and to be honest I saw tons of beautiful women there, although what got my attention is that there are even more good looking guys than girls ( or maybe it's just me cause obviously I was interested on the guys, lol ) ;P

They so much warned us not to carry anything valuable or jewelry at all and if by car hide the pocket book under your seat cause there are thieves driving around in vespas who will break your window and snatch whatever you have on sight :( . Luckily none of this happened to us but I heard a good deal of stories about it. Also this is more common in the big cities like Catania and much worse in Palermo :(

@icey47192 yes, basically that's the way it is, my future mother in law is Sicilian so I was going around with the in laws for the most part , she also had this moroccan friend who would take me and her grandaughter out ( just to make sure nothing happened to us while in the street, lol ) I stayed in Catania cause she has an apartment there in downtown.
