I've Just gone to an Industrial Estate about 20 minutes ago. Opened up my boot with 4 subs. Powerful ones. There is a cop car parked along the roundabout. One in the carpark opposite. Love it after 5:30! GTA1 had the best soundtrack of all of em, because it wasnt songs that you knew, the chart stuff, it engrosed you into the game even more. It was a world of its own!

@hubelt I have to admit that I played it without missions many times too but once you start playing the missions you'll like it even more.They have some of the best stories and missions out there.Like the one with the corrupt police chief or the one where you have to drive the boss' girlfriend to a hotel(and you realize what kind of a slut she is :P)or the "Speed" one with the bus etc.

gta 2 music was boring to me since it did not have enough variety tracks as gta1. Mostly techno/industrial songs

well, I think it was a variety, but smaller and most songs vere really mediocre. the radio quality changing in the game was also pretty annoying.

But in GTA 1 all of the songs gives the game somehow a lot of atmosphere.. more than in GTA San Andreas, for example. But I also have to admit that the GTA Vice City soundtrack was pretty well selected, too.
