I think R-13 gets trapped because of the force. in Final, description states that anchor force is "unstable", and an extra cable was adeed to keep control.So , I guess it was the cable that fucked up the ship

But the "ligthning cannon can´t break walls" theory also fits in...

one thing I don't understand is that on R-Type Delta, after defeating the final boss with the Cerberus, you typically had to sacrifice your Force, but here, on Final, the Force is still there!

to answer NegStarnite93 first, yes u need that ship, cross the rubicon to acess this stage, but u can then change ship when u die, like he did, or simply change before u start. and now incinerator950, i think BYDO system gamma(y) is best BYDO class ship

We had the physical destructive power that a characteristic of Wave Cannon broke space wall in R-X and R-9A2.

However, Wave Cannon of R-13 seems not to have been able to tear space wall because of bad a special property.

The R-X and R-9A2(and the Pow Armor) had plasma-type Wave Cannons, so they could get out. The R-13 could not escape due to its lightning-type Wave Cannon.

It is supposed that a characteristic of wave cannon was not good to break a wall of only sub space in the delta. That is why I think that he have been seized with Bydo.

Converted most likely. In R-Type Command, they revealed that the Bydo are converted lifeforms and ships. Humans get converted into Bydo, it's pretty fucked up. Basically some of the Bydo that come to earth, are really humans just trying to come home, only they dont really knw that they've become the Bydo. It's pretty sad. Whoever thought of the storyline is one sick person.

Bydo can put it under the control of Bydo by letting him undergo a complete change. In other words Bydo do not ask it it whether it is a creature whether it is a machine.

I cannot judge whether I was murdered from only announced formula setting of R-TYPE, but think that what was made to change in quality must be it.

It is neither, and it is sub-space on the earth satellite orbit closely. But it may be the place that you may call Hell of the SF. Because it is the forest of popular name Bydo.

Because the Bydo Core in Delta was not the true one, quite possibly a decoy to trick the R-Type pilots. Same with the other 'Bydo Cores' from the previous games before Final.

Looking at it again, I think it means ..

Played using a Bydo Ship (Diamond Wedding), I fought the R-13 Cerberus. The tree obstacle and the bullet that you can't absorb is hard.
