Looking into getting one of these with a heavy barrel, but I can't decide between the E2S (M4 style) with the 16inch barrel, or the E2S (M16 style) with the 20inch barrel... really is a hard choice, but the 16inch with a collapsable stock is a nice feature included with the price.

I have the same rifle. I have a question. I was cleaning it the other day and I noticed something with the gas rings on the bolt that I haven't noticed before. I know that there are three gas rings that need to be spaced 120 degrees apart. However, one gas ring has a much wider space than the other two. Is that normal? I never noticed that before (actually never really paid attention to it) until now.

@ctfisfun The m16 is a full-size army issue not tactical rifle. The m4 is generally for the missions when you are either CQC or needing more space for other implements. Its basically a condensed tactical version of the m16.

@crazyhamster51 Yes, the army deployed M4s can shoot automatically. The full automatic version is a class three firearm and requires an expensive permit that's hard to get. Most of the states don't allow DDs, silencers, and class three fire arms. If you can learn to bump fire (simulation of automatic fire) from the shoulder, it will pay off. You can bump fire with any semi auto gun with enough recoil- that means NO .22s.

The AK on the other hand is a tough chick who can handle her own in any situation and is more likely than not the dominant one in the bedroom whilst the AR girl would follow your lead. :p

In fact if you are a California resident I encourage you to get one, it's one of the few things we can do as citizens that actually makes a difference as the more black rifles there are in the state legally, the harder it is for them to be so restricted.

@CWake1 Technically, the M4 is on the banned list here in Cali. However, you can build an AR into an M4 platform (meaning, the low and short profile). A true M4 is fully auto, hence, why it's banned in Cali. Cali got rid of the Class III status in the 90s :-/

Bushamaster 5.56 ar's (carbon-15s notwithstanding) are all illegal here in California because they all are on XM-15 lowers which have been specifically banned, no matter how you build them, unless you got it grandfathered in when the ban took effect. We can get almost any AR lower in California but not Bushamsters or Knights etc... See Kasler list or "California Assault Weapon Identification Flowchart"

ok. im from hawaii, moving to portland oregon. (im 18 as of january) and im hoping someone who knows could tell me what is needed to be done to aquire an assault rife in that state. (hawaii has the most strict gun laws in the us. you need to be 21 for any fire arm. must have a clean record. if you have so much as a court hearing for for a suspected D.U.I. you can be denied the right to bare-arms. you need a permit to hold on to any type of fire arm. and last: there are no automatic weapons.ty :)
