RIFT is a fighting game, this is just a demo of the physics engine used in the game. The link to the demo you see in this video is in the description, just click "more"
Actually he does have a point. But it really depends on the surface matter. Wood on wood would probably slide like that. But what about tarmac or rough dirt. Things wouldn't slide around they'd tumble.
gah stop just thinking about the friction and gravity. Your forgetting about the real surface matter. It all depends on what is interacting with what. and don't fucking call me a troll you dipshit. You are the kind of people that would make a game just for the money anyhow. tch, bottom feeder.
You're right, those aren't the most realistical interactions ever, but it can easily be done, it only needs tuning for the density/elasticity/adherence properties of each material type
this isnt that good of an engine but still its cool

this physics engine kinda sucks by today's standards, yet it sucks still for 2 years ago's standards as well (nearly 3 years ago now)

make the friction more intense and the gravity stronger.

you make it sound cool but that only makes things slower volatilez
you dumb cock

yeah i know he's just retarded

Lol, I don't need a noobs recognition. So gtfo you troll i know i'm right.

increasing the gravity will make everything fall down then increasing friction will stop them from bouncing
suck, my, dick

what is the story of the game?
boardburner 4 years ago 2
This is a tech demo for showing off the physics engine, with no relation to the RIFT game, wich is multiplayer only for now.
Check out riftgame(dot)com for the game's demo (it's under construction though, the story's not posted yet)

so can i just download this?(not the game)
boardburner 4 years ago
Yes you can, the download link for this demo is now in the video description. (no source code yet)

Great game guys :D

There is a beta version of the game available at a surrogate page (See details)
The official page is going to be available soon.
The source code for the physics engine will also be available.
