I like how he immediately distinguishes between faith and fact as two separate things. So many people can't tell the difference when it comes to the bible.
The Bible specifically says David was a redhead. As for the kings of Judea being black.. well, duh, wrong geographical region, wrong racial lines. Sorry to disappoint.
By the way, King David - and King Solomon as well - while having the assistance of the Holy Ghost, were not, strictly speaking, prophets. Which is why their writings in the book of Psalms and the books of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and the Song of Songs are part of the Hagiographa rather than of the Prophets.
"And he sent and brought, and he was a red-head with pretty eyes and good looks; And God said: get up and annoit him, for that's him."
(By the way, some translations say it's "ruddy" rather than "red head", but "ruddy" is "ADAMDAM" in Hebrew, whereas the bible says "ADMONI", read "red head".)
Have you ever heard of the Tel Dan Stele and the Mesha Stele? While much of what was written about King David was probably inflated stories. Most scholars and archeologists agree that these stele are legitimate proofs that King David existed.
...The documentary also mentions this in the first few minutes in. How about next time you actually watch it. It may answer your questions for you so you don't have to waste a few seconds of your life asking it in the comments.
One of the few things we do know about King David's person from the biblical account is he was a redhead, so right at the beginning the actor portraying him fails.
Next they'll make a movie on a tall Napoleon, a Hitler without a moustache, a Jesus without hair, or even a Gandalf without a beard!
And you also failed to portray historical characters correctly. While Napoleon was not tall, he was not the short little guy people like to portray him as. Napoleon was between 66 and 68 inches tall, which was actually a quite average height for his time.
So how did they draw all these conclusions that are non-biblical? Or did they just make shit up?

@moshehim Where does it say that David was redheaded in the Bible?
Just wondering, cuz I don't remember it and I'd like to have a place to look back to.
