  • Love these. I am looking for the dominoes in bulk. where do you get your's? Do you drill your own holes? Thanks. Again, these are really neat. can't wait to try doing them.

  • I love this technique - and I absolutely adore the music!!

  • What is the purpose of the Johnson's Floor Wax? IS there a particular benefit to using that as opposed to a glue or just the Glossy Elements?

  • @lmjacobs It makes the tissue paper completely ttransparent, whereas when using a glue, it remains somewhat transluscent in areas.

  • I absolutely love your Steampunk crafts, they always come out looking really cool :). I was wondering, when you are making a craft, do you know pretty much exactly how you want it to look when it's done, or is it more of a design as you go type of thing?

  • What kind of printer did you use for transferring the image? Is it an inkjet printer?

  • @natyiu Yes, I use an inkjet printer :-)

  • Hi I've just discovered you video's and I must say they are fabulous. I love metal art and have had a go with metal tape in the past. The dominoes are very creative as well & I like the fact that you have shared where you have sourced your materials in the UK. Keep them coming.

    Thanks Edwina

  • where do you get your gears and chains and clock parts and coins and things for the steampunk projects? I really want to do these and I have no clue where to look thats not crazy expensive...

  • just curious what are your favorite colors?

  • Hi, really nice video! I was wondering with the first example, why you stamp onto tissue paper instead of directly onto the inked domino? Also, how long do the inks need to dry before adding anything on to them? Thanks!

  • @zoetic26 You can stamp directly onto the domino, but if you want to share a very exact part of an image on a tiny surface, it is easily to stamp onto tissue paper and line up the image where you want it.

  • @zoetic26 Depending on which type of ink you use, it usually dries within 30seconds to a minute.

  • these are sooo awesome! The way you teach makes even me believe I have a chance at getting it right. Keep posting, and creating!!!!

  • how did you do that last one. What kind od paper and glue did you use? These are great

  • I simply love your work. I watch your videos everyday. Can you tell me where I can get the image you used for the statue dominoe pendant. I have searched everywhere and cannot find it. You are very inspirational. Please continue to do more videos:)

  • My dear little girl!!! you are awesome!! You always show things with such glee and are so inspiring. Tell Hubby hi too. Really love watching your videos. I learn every time I watch.

  • you are so inspiring, thank you for all these videos.

  • What do you use to drill the hole?

  • Beautiful work on those dominoes. Love your videos, and your procedures, especially because there is no talking. Thank you much

  • fabul plus, thanks.

  • What kind of paper do you put the stamps on?

  • Those are great! I just so happen to have a tone of unused dominos around my house! I'm glad I came across your channel. What is that clear coat you are using?

  • Just beautiful girl!!! I love watching your vids cuz ur so talented. I wish I had 1/10th of ur talent. tfs :o)

  • You are awesome! I love all your work. Thank you for the inspiration. / Malin - Sweden

  • love it, would love to have written directions and was wondering if this technique would work on wood?

  • Hello

I just thought I would let you know that I have made a few of your projects now and I really love every one of them.

I also used regular dominos, but cannot seem to get the jump rings through them, so I will just have to think of something else.

    Thanks again!

    Joanne

  • @hannekebb Thanks for your comment. If you have trouble with the jump rings, a good alternative is glue-on bails - I use these too with E6000 to attach them to the domino. Hugs, Rach

  • @hannekebb if you have problems with jump rings you can always make them yourself that way they are larger and then it might be easier to get them through...just an idea I dont know.

  • What is that bottle of transparent glue that you use to coat the dominoes as varnish? I've seen you use it in many videos, and it has a great effect.

  • @dreller120 Yes, Glossy accents is great as an adhesive as well as adding a clear dimensional layer of gloss to projects like this one :-)

  • @RachO113 Would gloss varnish also work? I'm having trouble finding this product where I live. Thanks!

  • @dreller120 I'm sure any kind of gloss varnish would be fine :-)

  • Hey Rach, so where do you find the right kind of dominoes for altering? Thanks in advance-Jo

  • @jkmaus I use regular playing dominos for altering. Try ebay, that is probably the cheapest place. :-)

  • wow i love your dominos. But if i make them i would leave out the carms.

  • Thank you so much for the demo. Beautiful work, as ever!

  • These are SO awesome! I love them! How do you drill the holes in your domino's?

  • Lov e all your stuff- ever do one on one lessons? I love all your are work, espeially the dominoes. the Vintage wallhanger was tooo oool too. Please come out to the old wild west, You could stay in my house 'scott free: just my husband and I in a 6,000 sq ft home, so pick your bedroomn out of 5 (with private bath or shower) , swimming pool, whirlpool and cool drinks in the suna1 I really mean it--it woud be so much fun!!

  • Thanks for a great video :)

  • Hi Rachel, I would like to know what kind of drill do you use to make the holes, because they are so small. Could it be a craft drill? Where did you get it? Thanks again for your GREAT TUTORIALS!!!!!

  • @cricutera The drill I have is similar to a Dremel, bought from a local DIY store.

  • i really enjoyed this turorial, very beautiful dragonfly altered domino

  • A fellow nut job carfter from the UK.........Yahoo thought i was the only one. You go girl love your work. wish i had time to youtube mine.

  • Hi Rach, TFS..they are gorg hun. A Great technique that I want to try at some stage. Just need to get the medium for transfering and im set :-) Hugs

    Ali :-)

  • @AliDantre Hi, I've never tried the soft gel gloss for transfers, but there's no reason why it wouldn't work. The finish won't be glossy though because the medium is underneath the paper. The properties are the same as the matt, so it should work no problem.

  • Beautiful!! I am thinking of trying, but what size holes did you drill in order to get the jumprings thru? Again-- thanks for showing your process, they are great! Robin

  • Will the soft gel gloss work in technique #3? Thats what I picked up..

  • Hi Rachel love this alot was wondering what size of beads do you use for the dangling bits and size of jump rings? Youre a true inspiration!

  • @melodyok1 Hi, The Jump rings for these dominoes were 10mm because they are quite thick. The beads were various sizes - sorry I didn't take note of exactly which sizes I used - probably between 4-6mm. The spacer beads were 3mm however.

  • brilliant rach! i love these.

  • Oh my goodness I love every one of them. Thank you for sharing these.

  • really lovely creations, as usual you inspire me. . .

  • Another awesome project Rachel. Love your work.

  • I love all three of your dominoes. You used some really fun techniques. As always, I enjoyed watching the entire process of you making them. Thanks for showing us. JIL

  • OMG girl! You are super talented! Beautiful work =). TFS

  • Can you use that glossy accents on polymer clay beads and such? Is it durable and where might I find some?

  • Absolutely awesome!!!!!!! You're always so inspiring! One question for you: can you tell me what camera you use to film your vids? The image is always so crisp and clear...I'm in the market for a video camera...TFS!

  • These are fantastic! I have a lot of dominos.....in fact, I just bought an itty bitty set last week...they're adorable. Now I'm going to have to start drilling some holes. Or my hubby will do it for me, since I'm kind of accident prone...lol! Keep the vids coming...I LOVE them! TFS, Heather

    *gina*

  • @Scrappinology The text was done on a computer. The font is called 1942 Report - you should be able to find it easy enough if you google it.

  • Simply beautiful! And thank you for the answers on the drilling and the using of Klear. Thanks for sharing!!!

  • LOOOOVE!

  • i love this! i can't wait to try altering my own once i get alcohol inks :) and those krylon pens look much easier to use than rub n' buff. how did you get the holes in the dominoes without cracking it?

  • @iimandy Dominoes are made of a hard acrylic, they won't crack when drilling them, at least I've never had one crack - and I've drilled a lot of them! Have fun:-)

  • I love those - very cool - now i know how they are making them.

  • Those are so pretty! The image transfer technique was fabulous and I do not think I have seen it done before. I am going to have to give it a try. Thanks for sharing your creativity...such fun to watch!

  • @jolac46 Yes, you can use any colour medium that is permanent such as acrylics.

  • What is the gold pen? These are amazing, I loved watching you make them. TFS

  • @AScrappinIdeadotcom The gold pen is a Krylon Gold Leafing pen.

  • Beautiful work as usual! So glad you are sharing your creations with us here on YouTube! Susan

  • Where do you get the Krylon Shimmer pens? Craft stores, hardware stores? I just love all of your work. You have amazing talent!

  • I've done domino art for years and have used the floor polish as long...I like your take on this technique...I've always done the stamping directly on the domino. I'll have to try the tissue paper out. TFS

  • This was so awesome to watch!

  • Finally I knw wat to do with my dominos, thank you so much for ur ideas!!!... Amazing work again!!

  • very nice work!

  • What is the name of the gloss that you applied the "wings to fly" and to the whole domino?

  • @mrv567 The gloss is a product called Glossy Accents which is made by Ranger.

  • Absolutely Gorgeous!! And you made them SO fast!! LOL You're a very talented lady, thanks so much for sharing your wonderful gifts! Warm thoughts, Karen

  • This is so cool!!!! LOVE the idea of using the dominos for jewlery! You are SO fantastic and creative!

Thank you so much for charing!

    S

  • Omg I adore ALL of them. Could you let me know if they are specific craft dominos since they had holes and I presume the Klear is like a waterproof seal or something??

    Tfs- Jeanette :)

  • @mrsnetrix I used regular dominoes that are used for playing with. I use the Klear because it makes the tissue paper transparent - more so than when using an adhesice like mod podge. It also leaves a slight gloss finish, but as you can see, I use glossy accents to achieve a high gloss finish on my pieces.

  • Fabu as usual. You're such a fun YouTuber!

  • What was that you stamped the dragonflies on, tissue? What kind of printer did you use for the images you transfered?

  • @Dizzylizzyscreations Yes, the stamping is done onto tissue paper. My printer is a Cannon Inkjet.

  • What was that you stamped the dragonflies on, tissue?
