I'm a PETA member and a lifelong vegetarian. I am also against abortion except under certain extreme circumstances, and certainly against the type you describe. Why do you assume that because someone opposes cruel, unhealthy animal farming/slaughter methods that we somehow care less about humans?

I also have nothing against other people eating meat...but be aware of how it got to your table. This ad hammers that point home.

@bwworld You're one of the people Peta doesn't like talking about, you have brains. The assumption that Peta cares less about humans comes from the mouths of Peta higher ups themselves, i.e. by telling people that if animal testing brought around a cure for aids, they'd be against it. Is that caring for humans? I think not. The org. itself is hypocritical and demeaning to everyone who doesn't fit their personal ideology: Omnis are evil b/c they eat meat and Vegans are holy b/c they don't.

I highly recommend The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan if you are open to some interesting ideas. The author does not advocate one way or another about eating meat, but provides useful information about farming/ranching methods that have evolved since the mid-1970s.

Dear God, why does PETA care more about a Turkey than a Human being? Why dont they care about an unborn baby that has a saline solution injected into the womb so the baby can burn to death? Ok, for one: during the normal time that women can get abortions, they fetus is not alive, and there is normally a pretty good reason for the mother to get an abortion.

Second: what PETA is targeting here is FACTORY FARMING which is totally diffrent from regular farming. I am not a veggitarian, but i am vehemetly apposed to factory farming. This vid is targeting the cruel methods in which most turkeys are raised, not the act of eating turkey itself.
