  • Love your drum sound man!

    nice playing, nice gear!

Love it ;) it really suprises me how fat your bass drum sounds ;o

  • i was so serious about getting the sonor safari but now i am getting this for sure thanks for the vid

  • @laxwax1 I have heard nice stuff about the Safari!

  • Is this just what comes in the shell pack because this is what i wanted

  • @laxwax1 Yep.. Really nice drums for the money!

  • Damn , these cymbals sound very good !

  • @tamalexis I do like them.

  • these look like theyd break easier ... would they?

  • @Justinkz3895 Technique. I would not recommend them to anyone who is planning to bash the crap out of them.

  • how are things on the CC PBJ like the bass pedal/hihat stand?

  • @NapoleanXV Not sure.. I dont own these anymore. They were adequate while I had them tho.

  • Thanks, I am looking at a set on ebay from the US as I can't find them on the high street here in the UK. I have asked the seller the question "are they musically matched" but have had no reply. I would buy them straight away if I knew they sound good together, I know they sound great individually. Maybe he is still on his christmas break and not answering messages yet?

  • Your Playing is great! I have had trouble getting Wuhans' to work for me.I only got to pick my 12"crash out of a stack of them. Most Wuhans' sound too china-boy for me! I'm afraid to order them without hearing them first!

  • They are definitely not for everyone. If you are looking for a cymbal that will have a ton of complexity and character reminiscent of hand worked Zildjians but with a much easier price tag .. then the Wuhan NTs are hard to top. I recommend checking these or any hand cast/hand worked cymbal out in person because of the wide variances in sound.

I personally LOVE the Wuhans because they are so unique and inexpensive! I really like to be able to create my own sound palate.

  • Damn, your 18" bass drum punches like it's a 22"!

  • @TheFapperman haha.. yeah, head selection and tuning make all the difference!

  • Brilliant clip. very helpful. I'm just parting with a Sabian B8 set which I picked up with an old kit plus Sabian HH Fusion Hi Hats which I bought from a friend. I want some of these Wuhan cymbals. Great demo! Thanks

  • @andyracksthecams Not a problem.. bottom line is, you don't have to spend a ton of cash to get great sound!

  • I have all Wuhans too, I've had mine for a year too, there is nothing wrong with them and I play everything from Jazz to Death Metal. Not a crack or anything in sight. Great cymbals, cheapest you will ever find for such great sounding cymbals. Their China Cymbals are the trashiest cymbals ever and they sound amazing. Get these cymbals before they become too popular and the price for them rises.

  • I got a 16 inch wuhan crash and plan on switchin to all wuhan...i got a question......the 18 inch crash sounds a little to trashy for my taste.......would the 14 inch work for a secondary crash.......and also how do u like those hats. Thanks -Andrew

  • @drummer123apple I like the smokiness of these cymbals! The 18 crash/ride is a tad trashy, but again.. go see a dealer and check them out in person before you buy 'em.

the hats are nice in my opinion. A tad thin but they have a very hand hammered sound!

  • @stix4Him Thanks. No stores around here carry em. I have to order them. I think ill go with the 14 inch since it would mix better with my wuhan 16 inch.

  • I just got a yamaha stage custom set, and it also has a smaller bass, 20". I love the birch it gives such a deep thud to it! Your kit gives a nice deep sound to, sounds awesome!

  • I was debating on either these or some Zildjians. My mind is now made up and I'm going with the Wuhans! Thank you good sir!!

  • @buriedinsmoke3 Great choice!

  • whats your snare?

  • @HardShipsForHisName ..stock 6 ply birch snare drum. Aquarian HiEnergy batter/stock snare side reso and wireset.

  • @stix4Him I have them and love them!

  • @TheUrmusician Yep! Plenty of bang for your buck!

  • going on a year now, how have they held up??

  • @mrski Not a crack nor dimple.. great cymbals!!

  • And....Now I'm subscribed! Thank you so much for putting together an awesome cymbal/drum demo. So--on drummer to another---get the wuhans?? I just don't have Sabian HHX money.

  • WEAK playing?? nah man, nice and solid, your playing brings to mind ohn bonham and chad smith

  • nothing wrong with your playing, sounds great man!! i have just gotten back into playing drums, im primarily a jazz guitar player, but got offered a gig playing drums so i bought a drumset after selling all my stuff years ago. im borrowing my friends old sabian B8 cymbals for now. im really intrigued about these. i hear they know make a 21 inch ride, and rides with rivets. if only they would make 15 inch hats, and 17 and 19 crashes i would be in business

  • @rixills not sure about the ride/rivets or the 15'' hats but wuhan has 17, and 19 inch traditional crashes out now on ebay im sure u can find them elsewhere but thats the first place i checked lol...

  • You Play great! Thanks' for letting us hear the wuhan series' of cymbals. they sound great!

  • @moogboy010 Thanks man!

  • are these bronze of brass?

  • @drummaskills105 B20 bronze.. 100% hand worked!!

  • bro how do you tune your floor tom its sounds soo BIG

  • @Dandito3000 pitch match the batter and resonant heads. Its critical that each tension bolt has equal tension at each lug both top and bottom.

  • Kit sounds great, dude, might pick up a 16" for myself.

  • loooooove your playing!!!!!

  • @tholok97 Hahaha...thanks!

  • I am definitely getting the 18"!

  • Love your playing. that 18 crash sounds sweet!

  • @chrislobo26 Thanks! And it is!!

  • Do these cymbals break easily?

  • are these good for punk?

  • Great playing man!

  • @ddrumdaz1 thanks for the kind words!

  • wow thats a really clear recording for just a camera mic. it sounds like your recording with drum mics. also the cymbals sound really nice

  • hey, i have Sabian B8's, and i think they sound good in my room i have my set in but i want to maybe get a bigger variety of cymbals, and since wuhan has a good price for my budget i was wondering if they were great cymbals

    thanks

  • GREAT SOUND, DRUMS AND CYMBALS. WHAT'S THE SNARE HEAD? AND TOM HEADS?

  • GREAT SOUND, DRUMS AND CYMBALS. WHAT'S THE SNARE HEAD?

  • You look like my Dad.... wish he could play the drums, then we could jam together XD

  • Cant believe how good they sound, feel ripped off by the big three! And you have no reason to apologize for your playing, sounds good!

  • @kenromito Thanks

  • I have these cymbals, they sound A LOT brighter in real life.

  • @MrTangezz Yep.. the cheapo camera mic just dont capture the beautiful complexity of these cymbals.

  • Hey man I really like your video and I have an almost complete wuhan set; I was wondering if the 20 inch ride and the 18 inch crash/ride are as crashable as people say they are? I'm big into wash-riding my cymbals for punk/metal stuff but anyway just let me know <3

  • @AvengedSevenfoldDrum Yep..theyz crashable!

  • @stix4Him

Just ordered the 20 inch ride and the new 18 inch thin crash. Now I've got the 14' hats, 10' splash, 14, 16, 18 crashes, 20 ride, and 14 china, might get an 18 inch china. love them.

  • Wow dude. Just the video I was looking for. I knew someone had to have a complete wuhan set. Which, on my budget, is exactly what I want. Great thing is, I hear they sound better than lower end zildjians to boot. Great style too!

  • @lolotube100 Can't beat the value!

  • is that the stock snare? it sounds most choice!

  • What kind of heads do you use on your toms? (excuse my blindness hahahah)

  • @PearlDrummerBam No worries.. The tom batters and resos are Evans EC2 SST over Evans G1 clears respectively.

  • i have the same double bass pedals

  • @12monkey123 ; )

  • hey how much would a set of cymbals like these cost me??

  • @toasterwaffles232 Remarkably little.. Check ebay.

  • What camcorder are you using? it sounds awesome!

  • @gabriel745295 I will not divulge my secret.. it's all about placement.

  • @stix4Him Hey.. you said too much already!

  • @stix4Him lol

  • dont the wuhan chinas crack around the hole? look like they would.

  • @sticksbass nah ive been using one for 2 years now :) no cracks

  • @sticksbass No they do not. They tend to have a lot of warping and bends due to the hand-made craftsmanship, and mine cracked near the flange after about a year of constant use, but the hole is just fine, and I completely drilled the crack out and the cymbal has been fine ever since and still holds that oriental, trashy sound a china should have. The only differences are it's a bit more washy now and the tone is a bit different.

  • Your technique is excellent. I really enjoyed listening to you drumming. And the drums sound magnificent. Music to my ears.

  • @KonChul Thanks for the kind words!

  • What heads do you use on your kit?

  • @XxInTheUnblindxX The heads are Evans and Aquarian. Evans EC2 SST on the tom batters / EC resonants, EMAD 2 on the bass drum batter and EQ3 reso. The snare is an Aquarian HiEnergy batter / HiPerformance resonant snare side.

  • I love that splash!!!! How much are each of these cymbals?

  • the best cymbal here is the crash/ride in my opinion

  • that 18" sounds like what i'm looking for lately, seems to have a nice hiss to it. Would you say it's got some similar characteristic to the Zildjian EFX and Sabian ozones? Thanks!

  • @Verocity00 The 18" C/R indeed has a nice smoky character to it. Crashes well as well as rides nice and open

  • what series is the 20 inch ride? S?

  • @passion4drums All the cymbals in the video are New Traditional series. "S" series has been discontinued.

  • nice playing, nice cymbals too, great for the price. I'm gonna have to use some of your techniques in my playing. nice!

  • @Verocity00 Thanks!

  • TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN THESE CYMBALS OR DRUM KIT - I also OWN this KIT, and some of these cymbals, and I can truly say, BOTH ARE AMAZING! The truth is, the video (due to compression etc) takes away 80% of the true sound! The video cant compare to having the kit and cymbals in your hands! If you were like me, that came here to DEMO and hear it before buying, I recommend you give these a try! LOVE THEM!

  • @WinterWineStudio

    W O R D !

  • just got 3 of these today 14", 16" and 18" THIN crashes... wow... I mean... WOW, I just paid $120 for ALL THREE... and just sound amazing! The 18" played with rods works as a jazzy ride, crash, and with mallets it get a very loud, full GONG sound... I just can't believe how good they sound for the price... Only thing, after testing, I put them away in the plastic bag they came in, 10 minutes later I checked them, and had dark brown oily looking stains! cleaned with Brasso - my hands WERE clean!

  • the aquarian hi-energy head durable to u? and sensitivity good

  • @jamesconga Yes.. durable and sensitive at the same time.. My snare batter head of choice!

  • Damn, those sound better than my ZBT's.. nice playing!

  • @sick8721 Yeah ZBTs are stamped sheet B8 alloy and the Wuhans are cast and 100% handworked B20. By virtue of the alloy and handworked nature of the Wuhans, you will have a more complex and professional sounding instrument.

  • @stix4Him Were did you purchase these?

  • @sick8721 The cymbals were purchased at Interstate music.. locally. They are available online as well.

The Custom Classic drums are available through the OFFICIAL Custom Classic drummer forum by going to

    c c d r u m m e r f o r u m dot n i c e b o a r d s dot o r g

  • @stix4Him Yeah man, where did you get these?

  • Thanks... You just convinced me to get these!

  • Awesome playing, brotha! So do you think those hi hats are comparable to the vintage zildjians?

  • @dtigers27 I would say that the Wuhans have some of the same smoky attributes as a few vintage Zildjians I have heard.

  • Great review really helpfull. Amazing cymbals for the price!

  • May I ask what head you're running for the batter on the kick? I like the punch this kit delivers a LOT.

p.s. your playing is a lot less junky than you think brother! I dig it!

  • @wermsyjermsy Sure.. I am using an Evans EMAD 2 with the narrow ring. Thanks!

  • ooops.. edit last post. Insert the word "so" and remove one of the "your"

The price of geting older ..I guess lol

  • @stix4Him Are those cymbals still exelent? I might get these should i?

  • @drummaskills105 YES!!!

  • I have the same kit, same color, even same heads on the toms (I use EC resonant on bottom) although I have a Remo fiberskin in the front bass drum (very fat punchy tone)... I saw this video and liked the Wuhans, and finally got to try them out with my kit, and they just blend together perfectly! Thanks for the vids! Just one question, have you ever had problems with the bassdrum moving during play? I just cant get the legs right to hold it in place a full show :(

  • @WinterWineStudio No problemo!

I use a Kaces branded drum rug that has a built in stop block your your kick drum doesn't get away.

ooooo..I hate it when that happens!

  • dude thats a nice setup. My drum set is like beat to hell i have stock heads and just the simple hi hat and crash two tom toms and a floor tom. I bought a gibraltar double bass pedal and thats like the only thing not stock haha. I wish i had money to get more stuff because i really love playing drums ill be going on my 5 year for drumming. Yet i dont have much haha :/ but you have an amazing set and a nice drum sound :D

  • @skippyskatestuff

It takes time to build up your set.. thanks for the kind words!

  • what brand drums are those?

  • @MonsterEatingBoy The drums are made by Custom Classic.

They are 6ply / 7mm 100% Asian birch. For more info, check out my Custom Classic forum at the web addy in the info section for this video. Thanks!

  • @stix4Him where can you buy them

  • what are those rings you have around your toms? not the hoops...is that a rack?

  • @MonsterEatingBoy No rack there bro.. And the rings you are eluding to are the heads themselves.

    Evans EC2 SSTs.

  • Dammmnnnnnnn

  • @Fallen714 Thanks..I think.

  • Thnks alot for this vid!! I was going to buy the sabian xs20 cause from what I heard and read theyre the best budget cymbals, but these cymbals seem to slaughter the xs20s .the uniqueness, style and price of the wuhans makes me excited to try them ,i didnt feel too excited to play ,like you said, computer made cymbals. How much did they cost you total and frm where? thnks

  • @Fallen714 No prob.. Just trying to educate folks that are under the impression that the need to spend a lot of cash to get professional sounding gear. I highly recommend the Wuhans.. You will not find nicer, B20 handmade cymbals for the money..anywhere!

  • This is great man! What kind of snare drum are you using?

  • @redshirt905 All the drums are Custom Classic Pro birch in a bop configuration.. Let me know if you would like more info about them.. PM me.

  • too bad shippings like 350 to hawaii for the jazz kit alone :(...cymbals are still a steal for 200 bucks.

  • Great playing, man. I've got the Wuhan NT 16" crash and 14" Hi-Hats. Now that I have seen the whole set in use, I am DEFINITELY going to get the rest!

  • @FOXGEAR92 Thanks.. You will love them!

  • Hey, im considering buying these cymbals when I have the money. I'm a rock/punk drummer and I need to know: How well do these cymbals WashRide?

  • @6midlan

The 20" medium ride and 18" crash ride are amazing cymbals. The 20 has nice stick definition and crashes like a monster. Sweet but slightly trashy wash. The 18 CR can be used for a smoky jazz type ride, but it will BLAST if you drive it harder. The NTs would be GREAT rock/punk cymbals!!!!

  • are these cymbals like as good as sabian xs20 or zildjian zxt or any better?

  • @BENTLEYtheSKATEMAN The Wuhans are 100% handworked and being such, are unique within each size and weight.. It's my opinion that the NTs are suitable for pro use.

  • ohhh damn!! those crashes sound sooo good... i'm definitely getting myself the 16" crash and 18" crash ride now. thanks for this video, very informative!

  • @danziilla Yep.. I don't get anything from doing these videos but the satisfaction of educating folks that you don't need to spend giant cash to get pro sounds.. Thanks for the kind words..

  • is saibian better im ither going to get 1 saibian splash or 3 wuhan what do you think

  • @WALNUTWP

It depends. I find the Wuhan splashes to be the best sounding and feeling splashes available.. for any price!

    I recommend the Wuhans 100%

  • how would u rate the wuhan splashes cause i was thinking of a getting a 8", 10" and 12 "

  • @WALNUTWP

The splashes are (IMHO) among the punchiest, quickest, BEST splashes I have ever heard bar none.

  • @stix4Him I agree. You have to play em to believe em. Thanks bro for the awesome demo.

  • @arjunkaul

    My pleasure Arjun!

  • damn....you got groove ;) btw - wuhans are nice. i recently bought 12" china, and now im thinking about taking crash or ride :)

  • @13TIQA13

Hahaha.. thanks man.. Yeah the Wuhans are the real deal! Love 'em!!

  • drums sound awesome, what kind of head combo do you have on that 18" and also is it tuned pretty low or is that tight for an 18"?

  • @Customkick666

I love these little monsters! IMHO they sound wayy better than Catalina Club Jazz and are just about halt the price for a shell only kit! The 18" drum is tuned medium / low tension.

  • what kinf od muffling are you using in your 18" bass drum? and what head combo

  • @Customkick666

Hey CK... The muffling on this kick is due to the EMAD 2 head. No internal muffling is used at all!

    These little drums sound amazing!

  • il like ur style man. ur really good

  • @gnizzlefoshizzle12 hahaha.. thanks for the kind words.

  • are these the one made out of b20, cause i really need some good cheap cymbals.

  • Thanks for your great advice. I ordered a set of Wuhans.

    14 Inch Hi Hat

    10 inch splash

    16 inch crash

    20 inch ride

    16 inch china

Will get the rest when I save some more money.

Thanks for your inspiring video. I really dig the fact that you're into devotional/gospel drumming. That's really great. No music greater than that which praises God. Peace.

  • @arjunkaul Good deal! I love the Wuhans.. and yes, I am a Christian rock drummer.. for me, the best reason to play drums!

  • Great work. Loved your playing and sound. Would you recommend these over Meinl MCS? That's what I was looking to buy.

  • @arjunkaul I would highly recommend the Wuhans over any sheet stamped B8 bronze cymbal out there today.

  • @stix4Him thank you. love your drumming. great inspiration. good groovin'

wuhans look grt. i just ordered a set off guitar center. hats, crash, ride, splash(10), china(16)

will get the other crash n crash/ride later.

  • @arjunkaul I've played Meinl MCS many times and in my opinion they come nowhere near as close to the sound quality of these Wuhan Traditionals, I myself have just ordered a pack of them.

  • If everyone knew how good these sounded, the big 3 would go out of business

  • @sweetness295 Yeah.. they would definitely cut into the Big 3's budget / intermediate sales..

  • no one should be criticizing ur playing man ur good. i want the exact setup man. but with a china. good deal too.

  • @jamesconga haha I just meant more like.. try to pay more attention to the sound of the instrument..

    I love my Wuhans!

  • @stix4Him oh no the drums sound great, the cymbals are a bang for the buck they sound vintage at a awsome price, i love the combo

  • Nice Drumming Bro'

Them Wuhan Traditionals ain't half bad IMHO.

  • Hahaha.. not so much, but the drums sound killer huh?

  • bad ass drumming man!

  • Glad you are as stoked about these drums as I am!!

The heads are Evans EC2 SST tom batters, EMAD 2 kick batter, Aquarian Hi Energy snare drum batter.. Sent you a PM..

  • dude i'm totally in love lol ordering asap. One question, your toms are perfect tone! What heads are those?

  • If you are looking for the Wuhan NT cymbals..check ebay search "Wuhan Cymbals"

The drums are available online as well. There are links on the Custom Classic drummer forum to order the CC drums. Thanks

  • where do you order these from someone please

  • It really just shows, that you don't have to spend alot of cash to get really great gear!

  • just ordered mine should be here tomorrow

  • like your set up. just ordered mine with the wuhans too! should be here tomorrow cant wait! nice drummin man thats more of my style. thanks again.

  • thanks for all the videos you posted on utube. i just ordered the cc jazz kit and the wuhans they should all get here tomorrow cant wait! like your drummin style by the way. thanks again man.
