  • dildo's

  • @Ulrna we actually discussed doing that on our talk radio show. lol

  • crude price is gonna fall ... yahoo..

  • I hope chrisdude1001 is a girl :$

  • I want a plastic ice cream cone that I can eat in my plastic life.

  • @tatsuebo you got a plastic girlfriend too yet?

  • I want a plastic ice cream cone that I can eat in my plastic life.

  • cant wait for the newer model to come out so i can make my penis

  • So it's how many days until the one tiny head prints? XD

  • Our company is using this technology to replicate body parts (primarily spines and skulls) for pre-surgical planning (typically for scoliosis, kypohosis, and craniosynostosis cases). Our models have also been used in personal injury legal cases.

You can follow our YouTube channel (ACRMcorp) or visit our main website (ACRMcorp [dot] com).

You can also see actual patient pathology cases (and purchase 3D models) at Medical3Dmodels [dot] com.

  • rep-rap power!! XD

  • بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

    اختراع اكثر من رائع

    الى الاحسن والجديد

    تشكرك على هذا المجهود

  • we can make it with our own machine in VOWIN (our company)

  • winning; downloading a car, coming soon!!!!!

  • I want one so bad.

  • anyone else thinking of homemade legos?..

  • good price thought it would be a lot more expensive

  • Flying saucer please.

  • Toxic does not = cancer.

Toxic = poisonous if exposed to too much

    Carcinogen = cancer.

    Education = good.

  • The only thing stopping me from buying is that I can see very serious limitations to the models that can be constructed through this extrusion process.

  • Use soft silicon and make some masturbation items at home!

  • @rgbgdrunkenmaster 1. Therma-Plastic is non-toxic. 2. You can get the kit for less than $950, or just make it urself since its open-source. 3. Even if it were toxic, how could it give u cancer?

  • @turf7227 god are you dumb? EVERYTHING GIVES YOU CANCER.

but no really, hes just stupid and thinks toxic = cancer and aids.

    just ignore the tards.

  • @XiXgirboyXiX Finally someone on YouTube who actually makes sense.

  • @rgbgdrunkenmaster It can also print PLA a biodegradable plastic made from starch.

  • @rgbgdrunkenmaster I agree that a lot of the use-case examples they give of these hobbyist 3-D printers are pretty ridiculous from a practical standpoint. I think maybe they're stretching a bit, trying to find ways the machine can be useful to people.

I build models, so having a machine that can print plastic parts (even if they have a rough surface, so long as the shapes are accurate) could be very useful to me. But maybe I'll just try shapeways for a while before building a machine.

  • ...But can it play DVD's?

  • hobby lol not hooby

  • all you people who are sayin ooh im bying this are a bunch of idiots you people out there who have a usual printers no how much they cost to rum imagin how much this will cost you to run waste of save up your money by a guitar or summin get hooby dont waste your money on this shit

  • @bassnvideogames Well, the ABS runs $50 .00 US for 5 lbs. of line, Black is more expensive, but 5 pounds of abs lasts you for about a month of constant printing. The rough appearance is due to the print head resolution, the guys at Makerbot used the faster but less accurate pulley system on the x and y rather than the screw thread adjustment rods on the z axis. As someone who's worked with CNCs i can tell you that Makerbot has plenty good resolution, especially for a tenth the cost.

  • @MrHeadcrab Also, since you can take one of these and hook a dremel to it and turn it into a classic subtractive CNC, you can do a lot more than just make neat little crap, and since the boards are open, you can scale it as big as you want.

Desktop manufacturing is in it's infancy, a little support would be nice. Even if you personally don't see a use, it isn't a waste. Now, unless you personally have built anything as groundbreaking as this, I'd suggest you check your attitude at the door.

  • @bassnvideogames Why go buy a guitar when you can have the satisfaction of designing and making your own?

  • im going to build a fattass BONG OR PIPE!!

  • amazing for $950.. i'm going to get one

  • Its cool but its only around 10cm X 10cm which is okay for small bits like making gears and that but it looks like it would take hell long to print something

  • They need to improve the output first, it puts out jagged crap; nothing like the other 3D printers on the market. Spend an extra $1500 and get a professionally made 3D printer which prints good models not jagged crap.

  • cool, what RP cost 2450? i would really like to see it! thanks

  • Dude, a bow tie? Really?

Please help us rid the world of the embarassment that is the bow tie by no longer wearing them

  • @BeondaPale Bow ties rules

  • lol, maybe

  • i would make a shotgun and a dildo

  • or a dildo that's shaped like a shotgun Lol

  • PLASTIC PENISES.

  • 3 words...

    Personalized Sex Toys ^_^

  • foozeball xD

  • I saw this 2 years ago...

  • except for the fact that this CES was last week.

  • except for the fact that this technology is old

  • Yeah kinda cool i guess but i really can't see much practical use for it!

  • you clearly aren't the engineer type, think of the prototype ability's! test plastic things before making a expensive mound for it!

  • not that type of engineer anyway! lol but i ment a commericial application.

  • @chrisdude1001: Apart from assuming that it will be made for your sole personal use, you could also take a look in the video at 01:42 and see that the platform which moves the materialized 3D object, actually has a pretty happy face :)

  • @chrisdude1001 I would make a mold of one of your mom's boobs. Probably the right one, the left one is starting to sag.

  • I'd like to see places like Lowes and Home Depot offer network-based 3D printing. Similar to printing photos at your local Walgreens, this would eliminate the cost of purchasing a device for occasional use.

  • too expensive...eventually you'll get it right with putty lol

  • thats stupid, it exist since a long time.

  • Nothing new about 3D printers. been on the market for years. amazing how people think this stuff is new, what hole have you guys been in.

The big Stereoscopic 3d fluff. nothing new.. S3D gaming and eyeware has been aroung for ages, even back on the commodore64. i guess those were the things that made being a nerd so fun. everyone else was in the dark.

  • @xevious2501 There is a bit of a difference between wearing a pair of glasses for a 3-D effect and something that reproduces a 3-D solid object. Maybe.

  • like the fact that in the old days i used to play a space shooter that sounded kinda like your nick :p

  • WOW. YEAHHHHHH!!!!!!!

  • will it print a max file? or obj?

  • My god, if one wire breaks in that, you'd be pissed..

  • Shut up! (hysterical, LOL)

  • finally! no more going all the way to the supermarket to get a miniature thom yorke's head ;)

  • wow! really cool!

  • i would want the bigger version of this to make master chief armor instead of pepakura

  • Way too cool.. I want one, I need one.

  • 1000 bucks and its yours

  • Very cool!

  • build a dildo lol, ,

  • This is the same technology used in manufacturing companies to make hundreds of items per minute, Someone just scaled down some engineers assembly line machine and renamed it.

If you scale down in manufacturing plant machine that makes tons of items per min, then you could say it's a 3D printer.

  • men this is so cool if you want a toy exemple halo master chief head etc its gonna be free

  • @angryvideogameshad You still have to paint it, though.

  • yea and its make it i love better do that then buy a toy like my exemple for 100$

  • wow, things are moving along fast! Very exciting!

  • Brilliant

  • BUILD ORGANS

  • impressive, but: can't they stick to strictly biodegradable P.L.A. plastic for such high-tech recreational silliness?

do we honestly need to fill our landfills and waterways with more "A.B.S." plastic - material which takes centuries, if not millennia, to biodegrade?

  • yes we do

  • this is old news. I saw this years ago. even ones that build using sugar.

  • @samrusoff your cool

  • Very cool !

  • OUCH!, hate it when my man piece breaks.

  • I can make my own toy line.

  • Make your own Fleshlight.

  • omg this is freking awesome! bring on the future!!

  • I like how videos like this get people excited about the makerbot. I've been wanting and excited about these for about half a year now. Oh the things I would make...I would probably start printing other RepRaps.

  • Holy shit what are the "prints" made of??? Must cost a buttload to maintain payment for once you buy the hardware... probably why the thing is so cheap in the first place; they profit from selling the "ink"

  • 950$ for that? wtf, thats awesome.

  • You can make replicas of your bones and teeth. Also, you can do it on a larger scale and build housing complexs.

  • what's with the bow-tie?

  • @ohlookaliz

xD LOL yea wats up with that!!!

  • Once such 3D printer become more widespread just like currently the inkjet & laser printers, there will be profound changes in global production mode. The difficult part is getting the proper mechanical parts.

  • Open Source anything is the best. It will benefit all humans.

  • well this will put the plastic intrustrie up in raisingm prices to mmakeding basic object pricy

  • Like getting proprietary inks and even paper for your HP or Canon or whoever printer (and the replacement ink cartridges must stay in-house). Neat!

  • I think this will become a crucial tool for new companies to start in home garages. You can make parts for cars or anything but this also opens the door for people to build entirely new equipment any way they want it. For instance, I could make new bolts for my paintball gun.

  • my highschool had a class all about making 3D models on a computer then creating them with a 3D printer. i thought it was pretty cool

  • buying one

  • It would be cool if you could 3d model something in a program like 3d Max or Softimage and then print it on this thing as a figure. ^_^

  • interesting

  • Awesome

  • Where does one get the raw materials?

  • @mortysand 3d printer manufacturers

  • Nice
