  • I've got to say that with this hair style...if it hadn't worked out with Glass Tiger...Alan Frew definitely could have pulled off the lead in a Sammy Hagar bio-pic. Great Song BTW.

  • Is it just me or does Alan Frew kinda look like Britney Spears?! lol ... especially his eyes area

  • They're not underrated because they were never good in the first place. They're just a so-so band, nothing special. A couple decent hits, but all & all, they're pretty forgetful.

  • 3 people hate their town.

  • Was this version (without Rod Steward) ever officially released?

To me, ol' Rod ruins the song. I'd love to find a high quality mp3 of the song as it is in this video. If anyone knows where I can track it down, let me know. thx

  • - my Favourite song by Glass Tiger- what a Fantastic & Beautiful Song- i love it

  • what a great song!!!

sorry for my bad english writing, i´m austrian: i saw them as a supporting act of the swedish band Roxette when they played in Innsbruck/Austria in October 1991 !!! i have never heard any song of them before but this one is kept in my mind and ears forever, thanks a lot for this great song!!!

  • I got to preform with the bad back in 2006 or 2007 in Markham. Me and my bagpipe band where the opening act for them (more like a intro) we came in played a song and started playing the guitar lyrics to thin red line then the band came in. Alan and the band are so great and down to earth

  • Saw him tonight at Casino Rama and he did this My Towm. First time I heard it in over 10 years and it was like going back in time, what a wonderful trip to take. A pure class act too, he actually looked humble and embaressed at the applause.

  • saw alan frew live at the nova scotia casino in halifax about a month ago... omg sooo incredible and intimate setting was perfect for seeing him and actually talking to him and meeting him afterwards.. he's soo down to earth and easy to talk to.. I bought his book and was getting him to sign it.. and I called him Mr Frew out of respect.. and well he looked at me and smiled and told me to call him alan. my bf and alan both had a chuckle at me for me trying to be polite*LOL*:)

  • it's better together with Rod Stewart

  • Agreed; any chance you can post the version with Rod Stewart??:-)

  • TORONTO FC !!! (TFC)

  • I had a beer with these guys when they came to Peterborough, Ontario... and played the Festival of Lights in July!

  • His version of the story:

"we were in L.A. recording and all the singers they had in for this duet weren't gelling with my voice. so i went across the street to the tim horton's and had a beer. when i came back out i saw this street person, with a big scruffy beard and leather gloves with no fingers on them and a sign that said 'Will Sing For Food'. So I thought to myself 'hey, why not let him try?' so I went over to him and i said 'Rod...'

  • Climie Fisher - Rise to the occasion (hip-hop remix) a black and white clip, and there's a color clip. Why there's a color clip to rise to the occasion for the black and white. How about Glass Tiger - My Town, a black and white clip, there's MUST be a COLOR clip same as clime fisher - rise to the occasion!~ Can anyone Tell me why????

  • This video was always in Black and White. I think it fits the song better.

  • Do you have color copy of this clip? Yes, it would be beautiful with color. The record company sure have the version of color clip- my town by alan frew.

  • Rod Stewart's singing maskes this song a classic
