I was around hippies when I was growing up as a child in the 60's,my Cousins,who was 16+ years older than me were hippies and I was brought up by them along with my parents,and I got a first hand at the counterculture.We all loved and cared for each other and it was beautiful.I'm 47 years old and I still adhere to those teachings and those morals.

Its amazing how history repeats itself back in the late 60's and 70's the hippie movement was strong and then it kinda slowed down through the 80's and 90's now its has become huge again because of the war and all the anger around us. All i can say is that if we all stop being so angry and start promoting peace among everyone we can bring the movement even stronger

Rainbow vs "drainbow" ... Im sorry but that was my experience. But it seemed to progress towards that at each consecutive gathering ('91-'94) WHere waS all the hat money going? National '92(?),oats for breakfast, rice for dinner, no water while the A-campers were drinking wiskey and eating steaks. Not that food is all that matters, but spirits can really drop fast, and they did then. Alternative, anarchist culture can only survive if all participants are commited to the whole.

I understand,went to the 20th that seemed like the 21 in 92 in Colorado but sure I went to one in 71 in Vermont while heading to Canada.The Welcome Home theme I Love. Always blows my mind seeing old and young freaks come out of the woodwork's in psychedelic Buses,just a flashback with a great feeling , Hope I make it back again. A Camp was small.Not the whiskey type place and should stay that way. This is WONDERFUL!Recommended for all counter-culture freaks!It's a Beautiful feeling. Heartfelt

I went to Vermont--'91 national. After Dead summer tour. One of the best times of my life. Spent a month and a half there. Just couldnt leave till it was almost all gone. Met Ambrose there. We left the camp and saw Phish for the first time at a free show in Berlington, then left the gathering next night.

i was at the one in Vermont, it was hilly, in a place I forgot exactly where. i also went to gap, Nevada afew yrs after that, and then I went to Modoc County CA. I love them.
