  • NOW I know who performed this song. Its refrain flitted into and out of my mind all these years, without my knowing the song title or whatever. (I kind of thought it was from the Eighties.). I think we have the song's album, "Right Rhythm," on CD. And may June Pointer

rest in peace. I seem to remember hearing of her passing away years ago and hearing that her sisters were at her bedside in her final hours.

  • i made this video

  • @ClaudiaCastle1 really how so u know these awesome ladies....

  • great ,thanks .never saw this.cool

  • GO RUTH!!! One of my favorite songs!!!!

  • This is a nice ballad, it shows u how much talent those sisters have they can sing any style of music, country, pop, rock,r&b,slow jams, and ballads, I don't think we'll ever have another group like this again,IMO music is dead nowadays,we don't have real singers and music anymore. Pointers Sisters forever!!

  • Yes, good tastes! :-)

  • Yes, those are my exact faves:-) I have Put Your Dreams on here.

  • I had forgotten about this gem of a song. This is just further proof of they're incredible talents. They have some of the best harmonies in the business. This video compliments this beautiful song. They do excellent ballads! This is right up there my other 2 fav ballads of theirs "Eyes Like A Child" & "I Need You"

  • Ooh..."Eyes Like a Child" is one of my faves, too! (along with "Tell It to My Heart" from the same album). I'm also very fond of a couple of ballads done solo by Anita and June. I have one of June's here on my channel!

  • beautifully shot and edited video.

  • Two of my very favorite ballads of theirs are from the 'Only Sisters Can Do That' album -- those being "Tell It to My Heart" and the beautiful "Eyes Like a Child." Great melodies on the latter. Also, Anita's solo ballad, "Love for What It Is," is a nice one.

  • Tough question, thisisittt ! This band EXCELLED at ballads ! As far as the 80s and 90s go, "I need you", "Slow hand", "Freedom", "Where did the time go", "After you", "All I know is the way I feel" and "I will be there" are my favourite ballads from them.

  • Thank you for posting and sharing this video with me. It just further proves to me what an underrated group the Pointer Sisters were. Their longevity and versatiity should have not gone so unnoticed. RIP June in our hearts and ears forever

  • I guess I like the shebang! Lol. They did quite a few songs which were just above ballad and below medium paced which were great - the example that springs to mind is 'Mercury Rising' - great song and one which I'm very grateful for the remix that Craig did and sent me! I love the performance of 'I Need You' from 'Up All Nite', quite moving in retrospect.

  • Well 'I Need You' and 'Slow Hand' are the obvious ones but also 'Wanting Things' and 'I Want Fireworks' are also great. But it is great to see unseen vids. Right Rhythm album was a real disappointment for me, marginally made up for by the dance remix of 'Insanity'!

  • wow this vid. and song are awesome. I am honored that you took the time to share it with me. I had never heard or seen this amazing PS song before, so thanks alot =)

  • My words cannot describe how pretty a song this is. The original music has faded now days and I often wonder will this style of real vocals and talent ever emerge again. The pointer sisters are a true music gem that will always be one of my top ten acts of all time thanks for the post

  • I've always loved this album. I really wished Motown would have pushed it more. They worked their butts off promoting it on various talk shows. These ladies were and are still the best at what they do! Great video. Thanks for posting.

  • Yes, they did make the rounds promoting all three singles on TV! Typically, the record label is behind those types of appearances, so I would guess that Motown, in a way, did do some considerable promoting (at least compared to many of their other artists' albums of that time!).

  • It's a pretty decent song. I don't think it's their strongest though, but, nice.

  • Thanks for sharing this retrorhythms. Not their strongest song IMHO but great vocals and always lovely to see them - especially June.

  • Wow! Have never seen this before. A real treat... and loving their retro 'Car Wash' hairstyles! Fantastic, thanks for posting

  • Thank-you! I only saw this video once, nineteen years ago. I love the Pointers and this video. The "walk" sung at 3.19 is priceless!

  • I know...that little insert gives it a classic touch!

  • Retrorhythms, thanks SO MUCH for posting this and for letting me know about it. I didn't even know about the very existence of this beautiful video. I knew they had released it as a single, but I'd never seen the video. It's beautiful, just like the song. This song is a personal favourite of mine - definitely should have been a hit, it's one of Ruth's finest vocals. Is there a video for "All I know is the way I feel" ?

  • Thank you for posting - what a treat and well appreciated by fans! A nice reminisce of their later, sometimes under-rated music, The ladies certainly look beautiful and sound extraordinary as always!

  • never saw this.thank you for posting ,great song.

  • What a treasure. Have been a Pointer fan for 30 years and have never seen this video. Its really good! They look beautiful!

  • Yeah, it wasn't shown very much. A beautiful song and video, though. Would you mind rating it?
