in his speach obama talked about "building brick by brick with caloused hands". a picture wich brings to mind the counless work wich african americans were subjegated to, in the building of the nation. including the white house. i would be greatly offended if a person tried to make himself akin to that history, with out that history being in his back ground.obama may be black but he is no "african american".
One would think that Obama would merit at least one "attaboy" before being judged. He broke one of the most significant racist barriers still left in America and all the racists can say is, "finally no more excuses." That person sure sounds positive.
Well, I am one American who is proud of what happened. I didn't vote for Obama, but I'm happy that he won. Too bad Bush & Co. stole the country blind before he could even take office, but the racists knew that.
