  • I've been to Philly and this run is out of sequence and impossible! Still felt great running up the art museum steps at the end of BF parkway though. A moment I'll tell everyone about forever, until they get sick of hearing it. Then I'll tell it once more!

  • Now that's what I'm talking about. :)

  • This is Rocky II. The original would be Rocky.

  • @MARILYN19481 I think the uploader meant the original video clip as opposed to some other videos that start with Rocky and switch to themselves climbing the stairs.

  • And what can we see nowdays shining gay vampires.... nice where we are heading :(

  • Smokin' Joe Frazier.

  • wow. i smile everytime i watch this!:] it is so powerful in the film. rocky films have to be the best and most successful films in the history of films. there are some really good films out there but rocky is diffrent. its so... i duno! its just FRIGGIN AMAZING! XD i thank stallone for directing, creating and starring in these films. I LOVE ROCKY X'D

  • I turned 58 last week. Professional Dancer/Trainer, who developed spinal problems 3 yrs ago, hardly walking. 2 mths ago...determined to win, started training myself w/schedule,strength training/walking on the beach. Tough workout w/400 crunches-regular/reversals/etc. Weighed 140 when began. Weight now 120! Can run up stairs. Full split on floor and side standing on one leg. We can do many things if we let go of fear and determined. Rocky is my inspiration also. My new theme song!!

  • @sondrautube Wow! Whoever you are, I love you! Thank you for your inspirational story. God bless you! ^0^

  • the rocky movies did so i started to train^^

  • LOL, ran the steps when i visited Phil, ... can't believe how many other people were doing the same xD

  • Wait is this from 2 or 1? It's two isn't it?

  • This is the reason why I committed myself to running everyday las summer. It was a satisfying one day.

  • @chistorro12 Musta been one hellava good day! LOL

  • I love this city... Philadelphia, EU and Cali, CO are my paradise...

  • Wow...Now that's inspirational!!!...Made me tear up...I know I'm not the only one...Makes me want to go find a meat slab and tear it up.

  • @chrisx2k6 Same here bro!

  • rocky balboa is the world's boxer

  • makes me tear up!!!!! in a happy way.

  • Cette scêne, bien que copiée, est plus intense que l'originale selon moi. Dommage que rocky ait la même tête que rambo.

  • I love at 1:35 as he was running slow then he ran so fast, that inspired me to be a runner.

  • Rocky is a heel striker...

  • ...and in a related story, hundreds of kids from the area were reported missing by their families. The kids were last seen playing in parks and on the sidewalks near their homes. Oh, wait...the kids have been found near (not IN) the art museum jumping around a guy that officials have tagged as the kidnapper.

  • @thefutureprez2016 were you bored when you posted this? xD

  • @thefutureprez2016 hillarious!!!!!

  • in my opinion this part of the movie with the runing up the stairs and the theme song is a worldwide symbol of ambition and sport

  • it would be fucking funny if he was hit by a truck lol

  • "Go, go, go goooooo" my favorite part at 1:35

  • This kind of inspired me to be a runner :D

  • The black people were jogging

  • Is it OK to cry while watcing this??

  • I wear a gray outfit just like his when I run =)

  • @MarkoFelix

I hope that was back in the late seventies. now there's no excuse to wear old washed-out grey cotton while training...

  • wut...

  • There is a Michael Jackson joke in there somewhere

  • Family Guy did a piss take of this with Herbert behind. Fucking brilliant.

  • Where is the download link? <3

  • Saw this today visiting Philadelphia. Art Museum looks the same as 1976, but Philly's skyline has changed a lot!

  • Gary Glitter was the one running behind the kids!!

  • he was runing from the kids lol jk

  • Imagine how much of a bitch it would be if every time you went for a run a massive crowed followed you! Haha and rocky has some pretty bad running form haha especially in his sprinting..

  • thumbs up if u u want to do the same thing

  • My dad is one of those kids :DDDDDDDDDD

  • @ykkbaba awesome :D

  • @ykkbaba Wow, that's pretty cool man :)

  • W00h00! Ran 19KM+ Thursday & reminded my self of this vid & music yesterday! It's inspiration is amazing like Rob Dougan - Clubbed to Death. Gna be in my top 2 I guess!

THUMBS UP IF U WANT COMMERCIALS ON THE TV TO BE SOMETHING LIKE THIS VIDEO AND NOT SOME CRAP THAT IS USUALLY SHOWN ON TV WITH ABSOLUTELY NO MEANING, OR ATLEAST NONE THAT MOST PPL WOULD DIG' LIKE NOWDAYS[19.11.2011]

  • shout out to my brothers in Kensington

  • bye guys off to the gym

  • Always thought it would be funny if a black kid was able to keep up with him when he started sprinting...

  • Chills every time I see this

  • awaiting alternate ending where rocky is hit by a car

  • 10 ppl tried to jump a bench and ate shit

  • When you're in Philadelphia on this place you feel so COOL!

  • Wtf he runs from Kensington to South Philly then Kelly Drive then back to Independence Hall just to run back to the Art Museum? Rocky needed a GPS.

  • @Jsd8675 are you living in phild?

  • i when i was a kid i loved chasing boxers around a city...

  • it's inspiring

  • In the brazilian dubbing, the voice at 0:28 comes from some dude in the background asking Rocky if he would borrow him 20 bucks.

    Classic...

  • I'm really out of shape right now and I'm going to Philly in the spring...so I'm totally using this as inspiration to get in shape and climb those steps without dying :)

  • Haha.:)

  • i loveeeee the soundtrack ! ooo yeahh !

  • i saw this video when i was a little boy and i still love all his movies, even the new ones. Rocky is a true legend.

  • This scene defines the American dream, really. You can go from being a low rent bum to being the champ if you just try and run up those stairs in America. Even if you don't make it, you can always just "go the distance."

  • Thumbs up if you climbed the steps!

  • what's the name of the song ?

  • @tchingtchangtchong gonna fly now by bill conti

  • @cr4zylyfe Thanks !! :D

  • i watch rocky cus it reminds me of my dad, is it ok? XD

  • The best!!!!!!!!

  • 0:14 / 0:15 ??

  • The Rocky films are just a front. The real agenda behind it is tackling childhood obesity! (aka getting those fatties running)

  • Comment removed

  • Thumps up if you came here because you ran the steps but you never saw the movie :D!

  • oh fuck.........i did this in washington infront of abe....now i feel stupid

  • wow! All the kids loved Rockys perspiration! xD

  • run harder than Rocky!! check out the BIG BASH OBSTACLE DASH, its a 5k mud run for charity..

  • Love this film work out 2 it

  • Awesome scene, but pretty unrealistic when you think about it.

  • those kids ruined the moment

  • This is Rocky 2 - not the original. There's no kids in the original.

  • this gave me a boner

  • 0:45 pedo much.

  • I was there last week! :D

  • go go go goooooooooooooooooooo! lol

  • Thumbs up if you came here cos you're going to Philadelphia and need to know exactly what happens so you can make a video of yourself doing it.

  • @mattstat1 yes!!!

  • @mattstat1 - I came here because I grew up in the Philadelphia area and still love it!

(My screen name is in honor of Phillies Hall of Fame center fielder and broadcaster Richie Ashburn, best friend of Harry Kalas - I tried to get the Phils to name Citizens Bank Park after His Whiteness with HK's full blessing)

  • i wanted thuis to happen to me so bad when i went for a run

  • I was in Philly yesterday and actually ran up the steps and did the whole fist pump thing. It was great, and I didn't feel stupid because about half the people who came to the steps was also doing the same thing :)

  • *choral sound* Your skill in Acrobatics has leveled up to 87.

*choral sound* Your skill in Athletics has leveled up to 95.

You should rest and meditate upon what you have learned.

  • Back than, he was true !

  • IF YOU LIKE THIS VIDEO, GREEN! :). UNLIKE RED :(

  • ......uumm this is Rocky 2

  • OMG!!! My favorite!!!

  • Yay! At last a version that's presented in the correct aspect ratio.

  • I <3 Philly

  • sooo good

  • You can always tell when someone is new to Philly. the first thing they do is run up these stairs and get a cheese steak lol

  • I STILL choke up seeing him running through Philadelphia. Great movie!

  • every time that kid screams GO! GO! GO! and he takes off. I get goosebumps. every time!

  • @ madampeach

    Gonna Fly Now

  • thumbs up, if this movie is the part of your childhood

  • @rivenfall oh... you have no ideea my friend!

  • i visited philly once. they actually put a statue there now. i don't know if that was already known or not:p

  • @markkmacleod The statue is actually on the bottom of the stairs to the right of the building.

  • everytime i jog near those steps, i first stop, turn the rocky theme on my ipod, and run up the steps

    every time man

  • IF this isn't Hollywood then i dont know what is

  • 7 people couldn't climb the stairs.

  • He is like, the fittest god ever :O

  • the only thing they ever filmed in philly and i had to be born 23 years later

  • @Drumlady12 - Lots of movies have been filmed in Philly. Most of the Rocky movies, Blow Out (with John Travolta), Witness (Harrison Ford) and The Sixth Sense (Bruce Willis) all come to mind, as do Trading Places and Philadelphia.

  • hes the pied piper of pedophiles. PS: jsut kidding to the best of my knowledge neither the Rocky Balboa character or Sylvestor Stallone actor are sex offenders.

  • the sweat on his shirt made a heart :)

  • been there yesterday, got me more excited than liberty bell

  • i did this today @ the art museum

  • 6 people are gay

  • This is rocky 2!

  • does this song have a name?

  • I sooo love this scene.....

  • rofl i just ren the steps too and screamed ADRIAAAAN! loved the peoples responce lol , rocky ftw.

  • @espjuan Thanks. I checked the dates of the construction of the skyscrapers that are most visible in Philly, and most if not all were apparently not built until after the movie was filmed. Just kind of surprising to see a fairly mundane skyline that far into the 20th century...

  • @Dagger33 Yeah, The top of Billy Penn's Hat was not bypassed until the late 1980s. I recall it being a "Gentleman's Agreement"

  • This is from Rocky II, not the original. FYI.

  • lol so cheesy whys he jump the benches roflmao

  • 2:13...where the hell is the Philly skyline??

  • @Dagger33 you have to be on the steps and look away (east) from the museum.

  • @Dagger33 It was the year 1978 (the year when Rocky II was filmed) and Summer 1979 (the year Rocky II was released. None of the tall sykyscrapers existed before around 1987, pal.

  • It's good and all that but it's not like the run in rocky 1 with the bricks

  • Fake n gay

  • @ownagepwnagemaster your gay

  • He'd never be champ in real life, he cuts to easy!!

  • how awkward would it be if a car ran over him at 0:04 :L

  • @justinlad08 or if he tripped over one of those benches he was jumping ha ha.

  • reminds me of the pied piper of hamelin............anyways wonderful video with amazing music.

  • @arunsridaran True, except this ain't gay. :)

  • I believe it's from Rocky 2, because he was training for his rematch for the shot at the championship against Creed.

  • I like how the kid in the red jacket at 1:38 thinks he can keep up with Rocky! lol

  • hugely ridicoulous

  • @kin4n you're no fun! thats the beauty of these old 80s classics

  • @kin4n you're no fun! thats the beauty of these old 80s classics!!

  • @Brendonions Nope, you mean 70's classics. Rocky II...1979. ;)

  • @marathon1974 I stand corrected, but still great classics indeed!

  • Michael's dream...
