This shouldn't even be a debate anymore. Creationism can be easily disproven by somebody with no scientific education. Once Adam and Eve has the child, what now? Do the children they have make MORE children? Impossible, that would be inbreeding and thus: two human beings can only go so far with populating the Earth. On the other hand we have evolution which is backed up by centuries of scientific research.

It's not stupid to believe in God, God is outside the realm of science as we know it because God is unobservable. The belief in God may not have a rational basis, but it fulfills an emotional need and it's not like there's a better explanation. Maybe it's a placebo effect or maybe there's really something to it. I just wish more Christians would realize that faith has nothing to do with science, but rather philosophy. (There are some who get it)

First of all, God never said "all men are created equal"...so to have an intelligent discussion about God, you will need to know the Bible way more. Now in terms of homosexuality, that was a punishable sin, and still is. So is adultery. So is lying. Some sins were punished more severly than others, though, under Old Testament law. Christ came to take all the punishments we deserved, though. However, anyone who rejects Him as Savior is putting the punishment back on themselves.

Okay I know this is most likely pointless with you but I'm going to try anyways. EVERY creature that has EVER lived is a transitional fossil. If you was to get your Great Great Great Great Great grandparents bodies and line them up in a family tree - the genetic detail of each group of descendants changes with each generation. EVERY one of those bodies is a transitional form to you since each has minute changes.
@DCussen The same can be applied to every other species. Fossils are rare - very rare - if there have been 4 trillion lifeforms on the planet (no idea the actual amount) and we only find 500,000 fossils that's a very small percentage. It's impossible to go through one entire linage all the way back to the T-rex without skipping some steps - however by comparing fossils to one another you can see how one creature has changed into another creature and so forth.

Some creationists are stupid because they believe in a holy book and when asked how do they know the holy book is really carrying the words of God, their answer is 'because the holy book says so'.
This shouldn't even be a debate anymore. Creationism can be easily disproven by somebody with no scientific education. Once Adam and Eve has the child, what now? Do the children they have make MORE children? Impossible, that would be inbreeding and thus: two human beings can only go so far with populating the Earth. On the other hand we have evolution which is backed up by centuries of scientific research.
It really pisses me off that there are people who believe in creationism over logic.....

It's not stupid to believe in God, God is outside the realm of science as we know it because God is unobservable. The belief in God may not have a rational basis, but it fulfills an emotional need and it's not like there's a better explanation. Maybe it's a placebo effect or maybe there's really something to it. I just wish more Christians would realize that faith has nothing to do with science, but rather philosophy. (There are some who get it)

First of all, God never said "all men are created equal"...so to have an intelligent discussion about God, you will need to know the Bible way more. Now in terms of homosexuality, that was a punishable sin, and still is. So is adultery. So is lying. Some sins were punished more severly than others, though, under Old Testament law. Christ came to take all the punishments we deserved, though. However, anyone who rejects Him as Savior is putting the punishment back on themselves.

If you was to get your Great Great Great Great Great grandparents bodies and line them up in a family tree - the genetic detail of each group of descendants changes with each generation. EVERY one of those bodies is a transitional form to you since each has minute changes.

@DCussen The same can be applied to every other species. Fossils are rare - very rare - if there have been 4 trillion lifeforms on the planet (no idea the actual amount) and we only find 500,000 fossils that's a very small percentage. It's impossible to go through one entire linage all the way back to the T-rex without skipping some steps - however by comparing fossils to one another you can see how one creature has changed into another creature and so forth.

Faith was designed for the dumb people and the people who dont have critical thinking skills. Faith requires no evidence or testing. I just involves obeying and keeping your eyes and ears shut tight and just keep believing whatever you have been told. Science is for the brave - those willing to question the universe around them. Faith is for the weak - those unwilling to open their mind to reality.

However those that are actually doing beneficial things by creating new fields and exploring areas we know exist will not let things like god stand in the way. They will use the scientific method to discover truths and not use a "holy book" that has the "true" word of god in it. If you do not believe in any type of creator or diety, god for you. Why do you feel the need to disprove the belief of others? Is it because of all the killing in the name of "God"? Back in 1953 it was shown that r-handed and l-handed amino acids can be produced in a laboratory environment simulating premordial earth and a bolt of lightning. Neato! So, then, even though a scientist was able to prove this they also show that a scientist in 1953 in an out-of-date lab can do it, why couldn't an alien species do the same thing but with advanced technology.
