Back to mention one more thing:

A wide, heavy vibrato... You CAN'T fit it in the song, because we're going real fast now. Faster progressive playing WON'T co-op with blues vibrato... If you mess around with overdone vibrato, you'll just sound like an asshole.

I figure most of the tone deaf people dissing his vibrato don't really have any musical background. You know... You use vibrato to accent a note, so it's just one piece in a big puzzle.

@NotARegularGuy vibrato with music like this is hard. with blues, you can pretty much do whatever, or even with most other metal, but this has to be just right or it'll sound awkward...i think what he has done here was to carefully create his vibrato sound so that it suits the music.

and to everyone else, there are many more ways to create emotion than through vibrato. don't be blinded by his perfect sweeping; there's plenty of emotion in that too.
