Hi every one. First of all, thanks for your comments.

Yes, I have tried it on many computers, including Windows PCs, Linux and also other macbooks etc.

I am writing because I also did something more crazy. I requested an advanced warranty, where they send you the replacement first. So I opened up the replacement and exchanged the electronic board with that of my one. It stopped beeping BUT it is still not recognized on any computer :( I don't know what else to do.

HEy me too...everythings gone...very important documents...all gone...mine give a slightly diff beep....but i have a macbookpro too...have you tried on a different computer?

i HAVE THIS PROBLEM, IT WONT EVEN OPEN THE HDD ON MY COMPUTER OR RECOGNIZE IT. HOW CAN I FIX IT I HAVE SO MANY GAMES AND MOVIES ON IT, PLZ HELP :(

hey bro did you found any solution about this problem.I have the same problem and it didnt fall from any place....but giving this problem and i have WD 500gb passport hard drive
