Thank you for showing the positive side of Haiti. The media has done enough damage to show Haiti in the worst light. The Haitian diaspora need to go back to Haiti to visit and invest. This would help change the economy of the country and its image. Once Haitians go to Haiti, tourists and international investors will follow.
im Haitian dumb ass every Haitian is saying the same thing im saying even my mom told me that and she came from haiti and she seen it and heard about her country on the radio ask people thell tell you
Haitians have to learn to be a proud & educated people & learn how to take care of their country & livelihood. Cleanliness is next to Godliness & if this does not start from home, the nation will forever be in poverty & ruins. Haitians can make a come back, & better next time, but they have to have the determination & not depend on others to do it for them. Haiti is not the only poor nation in the world. There're others & for a Caribbean nation, it's a shame that Haiti is not more advanced.
@ Sharingideas: You are right. Haiti isnt the poorest country in the world, its not even in the top 10 poorest country in the world BUT nonetheless, it definitely still is poor. Developing country. We can only hope it gets better from here on.
There're too many people in Haiti's capital and surrounding, & Haiti has to think about limiting families to 2 children maximum, like in China, because it will be too overpopulated & then it will not be able to take care of itself, but forever depend on charity of other nations. The government has to take preventative measures now, otherwise it will get worse for the Haitian people. Road building, utilities, education & security are the basic necessities for a govt to provide to its people.
this video is so hard for me to watch because now my beautiful Haiti is in ruins . i was gonna go to port - au - prince over the summer .. but now there is nothing left .
i nstead Haitian Government officials with no vision continue to beg the international community for "MORE MONEY PLEASE!" instead of asking "HOW CAN BASSIN ZIM GENERATE INCOME FOR US?"
You see, Mr. Government official, your brain is a very powerful tool. if you ask it the question "How Can I?" instead of saying "I CANNOT" it's designed to always give you an answer.
In the mean time, thousands of gallons of water per second are being wasted in the Bassin Zim Water Fall , A beautiful cave is left unexplored, not one watt of electricity is being generated from Bassin Zim , not a single tourist is paying to see Bassin Zim , not one dime of revenue is being generated by Bassin Zim .
You notice I did not say the government, nor mention I say Rene Preval .
Rene Preval is from Marmelade. Chances are Preval will be more worried about growing Bamboos in Marmelade than attracting tourism in my hometown of Hinche, Haiti.
The last time I went to Hinche, Haiti, my hometown, I took 119 pictures of the Basin Zim water fall .
Bassin Zim is one of the hidden treasures of Haiti, a place that the local government can use to generate electricity and promote tourism in the Plateau Central.

But first... You have to ask.
Now... Repeat after me:
"How can I turn Bassin Zim into a money making machine, a power generating water fall, and a tourist magnet to benefit the Plateau Central in Haiti?"
"How can I generate electricity from the Bassin Zim water fall to electrify Hinche, Los Palis, Thomassique, Papaye, Pignon, and Maissade?"
"How can I...?"
