@NoPetrol just buy it for sega saturn. i did for $200 about 10 years ago. been playing it ever since with friends and family. it's worth every penny. the best shooter of all time, period!

errr is the third boss(4:55) a r-type ship? look at it, it have a force and 2 bits, the wave canon and all three types of lasers from the first r-type XD that must be a great game my eyes are bleeding so many bullets and bosses and thinks you can shoot... my heart is glowing! :D

No offence meant, but you don't seem to be using your weapons very efficiently or skillfully. It's kind of difficult to die at an 84,000,000 experience level on the first stage and am I right in thinking you're playing this in easy mode? Your vids suggest your a seasoned gamer though so I'll assume you're just bored with it by now. :-)

Yes, it is possible, but the quality is somewhat questionable. You need a monster rig to get a good frame rate, I got it playable-ish on my laptop with sound. Because its so complicated it is best to just run a copy cd on an actual Saturn. The emulator is called SSF, look for the latest version, I used 4.0 or something, its been a while lol. Plus you'll need to burn the ISO to a CD-R because SSF won't load an ISO, it can only load a CD from your disc drive

Man, I wish I had a Sega Saturn... playing the arcade version in MAME at about 5 fps is painful, and I always get totally stuck at the 5th boss (still in stage 1...)

I have ever finished Ikaruga drunked lol. But this game is so hard that I don't think I would finish the first level in the same state...Don't forget : Ikaruga is an easy game...

Spellbinding! I actually enjoyed this more than Ikaruga. It's an old cliche but they just don't make games like this any more. Then again, even in the good ol' days, RS was still peerless.

damm, this was the 1st level? there was like 5 or 6 bosses and it looked tough as hell, especially the final boss.

now i just want a saturn to play this game, if i can find it...

Woohah, this is magic! This was in Sega Parks in London a few years ago. I could never master it, despite having only three fire buttons. It's since been bettered by 'Ikaruga', but I like RS the best for gameplay and atmosphere. Hitoshi Sakimoto's incredible music lingers long after playing it.

yes it is the same company but this game was released first for the sega saturn only in japan(that sucks) and if you want to buy it it costs around 200$(that sucks too)

treasure have always made quality games, and radiant silvergun was by no means any exception. Shmups at its greatest. Visually pleasing as well as excellent music, love it, nostalgia rules.
