@keybladeblastcalibur The Higurashi anime is...ok at best. It shreds all of the emotion and mystery of the novel to try and get more creepy, but ends up becoming even worse at that because of it. Kai is somewhat better. The Umineko anime is absolutely terrible with zero redeeming qualities. It destroys the mystery, it ruins the characters, it cuts out several interesting scenes, and it ruins everything it touches. It sold terribly as it deserved.

It has an anime, but it is a very, VERY bad adaption.

Only around 60$ for a visual novel that will stay with you for the rest of your life. Definitely worth it IMO. Of course you could just get it for free from torrents and such...but I like to support the authors XD

I'm glad it got an anime, because honestly it got alot more people interested in the series. But to say it captured all the scenes perfectly is blatantly wrong, they missed out nearly all of the messages portrayed in the VN just to turn it into lolmurdergames. The only episode they adapted right was episode 1, which I'll admit was pretty damn good.

I'm probaly just bitter because of lack of Krauss vs. Goat, and God knows I'll watch Chiru when that comes out, but yeah.

Ep1 was a pack full of mysteries; you were lost in it. From Ep2 onwards the mysteries began to unfold. Therefore, comparatively, ep1's atmosphere was indeed different.
