@bman20000 if you think driving and 1550 is easy your crazy, infact using all that horsepower without dying especially around turns is probably impossible unless your a professional driver also twin turbo-ing requires a lot of reworking of the engine and is probably insanely hard and expensive to repair

There are 6 sec radial cars that I'm confident will eat up Bill Warner's 311mph bike. Given the fastest of them are running 220mph+ in a 1/4 mile and are confident to embarrass these Gallardos on the street. Also Bill Warner's bike is not road legal anymore to my knowledge.

And at the time of this race, the busa was not really workin correctly (boost controller on the fry) and there was a massive 13mph sidewind. Anyway the busa topped out at 230mph (it was geared for that and that was where this race is supposed to end).

I'm just wondering if a big bore busa would have a better shot. My buddies hayabusa is bored out to almost 1600cc and has a 100 shot thrown on. This thing is just ridiculous. I know from what I have read on the forum he was making 400. That's what my buddy makes but the gearing is to 170. I don't think it's necessary to prove a point past that speed on the street. Hell, most places only go to 140, but I guess Texas as always has to be overachievers. Lol
140 in texas is slow these days. Alot of cars from there easily make over 800+whp so naturally going from 60-180mph was the accepted norm. But more recently at tx2k11 the UGR cars were going well pass 200mph on their pulls, the black G got up to 230mph racing JohnVon lol. To say the least, UGR has re written the book on highway racing.

To try an answer a couple of questions, yes this is a 450hp bike, the owner and racer in this video is a personal friend and fellow rider of mine. She is a homegrown machine that was built in his 2 car garage at home, and while not all the bugs were worked out of the bike to his liking (the first almost 180 miles of it's life were on a dyno), I can tell you that this bike is a first class machine. @rottepung666 Shamrock on busa forums said he was rated at 400 at the time of the race. He wasnt running his boost controller neither. He said stay tuned! So we know what that means. lol. If the guy on a 450hp Busa lets the 1500hp Gallardo anywhere NEAR his tail light, then he doesn't have a clue how to ride. It's simple math. 450hp on a 400lb bike vs 1500hp in a 3500lb car. The power to weight ratio is so much in favor of the Busa, it's really not even worth wasting the gas on the race. I used to drag race a 211hp GSXR1000 and would stomp 1000hp Supra's all day long...
Yes but at these speeds (200+mph) it has less to do about power to do about weight and more to do with power to drag ratios. The lambo has MUCH better aero and a ton less wind drag. Coupled with 1000 more horsepower means that the faster they go the more advantage a car has. That goes with almost any similarly fast bike vs car roll race. Bikes have advantage from 60-130, after that they are at a serious disadvantage.
Actually I do, Iv been around drag bikes my entire life. And I still stick by what I said... its simple physics. Even a low 8 second or high 7 second Busa that traps around 180 is gonna have a tough time with this car, simply because how fast it accelerates after 100. These car traps have trapped 177 at 9.1 (horrid E,T!) but show MONSTER acceleratio over 100...it is puling just as hard as a high 8 sec Busa considering the tarp MPH are the same.

They are race bikes, through and through. @bigbad1000do7a Bill Warner's Busa is not a street bike, it will never see the street. That's like comparing a Busa to one of those mid 6 sec radial cars. This is a street car that can be driven across the state if you wanted. This Gallardo isn't geared for 250 mph either, not by a long shot. Traction is a major factor on the street. Talking about pure full mile top speed numbers is a bit different from highway pulls no?

@bigbad1000do7a 1500 whp (1900 at the crank) is the upper limit of street cars. Hundres of drag cars make that, but they are race cars and not streetable like these are. to show how fast these cars accelerate, one was vbox verified going 100-150 mph in 2.2 seconds. (stock busa is around 5.5 seconds) which means the gallardo accelerates faster 100-160 than a busa does 0-60. And infact, the gallardo does acclerate from 100-200 about the same as it does 0-100. These are all verified by Vbox.
Anyone know what happened in the first race? It looked like the turbo hayabusa wasnt on it or something. 2nd race was good, I think they gave the Busa the hit and he jumped ahead but then the Lambo begun to reel him in.
Nevermind... i read some comments from both owners. The busa rider saw the lambos brakes come on from brake boosting and thought something was up and they werent racing so he hit the brakes. The 2nd race they agreed to take off on 3rd honk with the bike getting a slight hit. Busa jumped out ahead until about 200mph then the lambo started to reel him in until they shut down at 230 !!!!
@caelanseth04 The first race the busa rider saw the lambo on brakes so the busa rider let off the throttle. Actually what the lambo was doin was he was actually brake boosting! The second race the busa got the jump. Race ends at 230mph. They both let off. Anyway the busa's boost controller was on the fry and there was a very bad 13mph sidewind, the busa rider had to hang off to one side while racing.
That turbo hayabusa in the first race seemed to be extremely down on power buddies turbo hayabusa has about 600 hp and set a prostreet record from a stand still at 7.28 at 206mph a few years back but that is a bad car by anyones standard. Awesome work!

There is one road legal busa with 1000whp+ and has done 311mph in the mile, crushing any road car to date.
Though, depending on the race, especially shorter sprints where traction is everything, the cars do have a much bigger chance.

I'm just wondering if a big bore busa would have a better shot. My buddies hayabusa is bored out to almost 1600cc and has a 100 shot thrown on. This thing is just ridiculous. I know from what I have read on the forum he was making 400. That's what my buddy makes but the gearing is to 170. I don't think it's necessary to prove a point past that speed on the street. Hell, most places only go to 140, but I guess Texas as always has to be overachievers. Lol

140 in texas is slow these days. Alot of cars from there easily make over 800+whp so naturally going from 60-180mph was the accepted norm. But more recently at tx2k11 the UGR cars were going well pass 200mph on their pulls, the black G got up to 230mph racing JohnVon lol. To say the least, UGR has re written the book on highway racing.

If the guy on a 450hp Busa lets the 1500hp Gallardo anywhere NEAR his tail light, then he doesn't have a clue how to ride. It's simple math. 450hp on a 400lb bike vs 1500hp in a 3500lb car. The power to weight ratio is so much in favor of the Busa, it's really not even worth wasting the gas on the race. I used to drag race a 211hp GSXR1000 and would stomp 1000hp Supra's all day long...

Yes but at these speeds (200+mph) it has less to do about power to do about weight and more to do with power to drag ratios. The lambo has MUCH better aero and a ton less wind drag. Coupled with 1000 more horsepower means that the faster they go the more advantage a car has. That goes with almost any similarly fast bike vs car roll race. Bikes have advantage from 60-130, after that they are at a serious disadvantage.

Actually I do, Iv been around drag bikes my entire life. And I still stick by what I said... its simple physics. Even a low 8 second or high 7 second Busa that traps around 180 is gonna have a tough time with this car, simply because how fast it accelerates after 100. These car traps have trapped 177 at 9.1 (horrid E,T!) but show MONSTER acceleratio over 100...it is puling just as hard as a high 8 sec Busa considering the tarp MPH are the same.

They are race bikes, through and through. This is a street car that can be driven across the state if you wanted. This Gallardo isn't geared for 250 mph either, not by a long shot. Traction is a major factor on the street. Talking about pure full mile top speed numbers is a bit different from highway pulls no?

Hundres of drag cars make that, but they are race cars and not streetable like these are. to show how fast these cars accelerate, one was vbox verified going 100-150 mph in 2.2 seconds. (stock busa is around 5.5 seconds) which means the gallardo accelerates faster 100-160 than a busa does 0-60. And infact, the gallardo does acclerate from 100-200 about the same as it does 0-100. These are all verified by Vbox.

Anyone know what happened in the first race? It looked like the turbo hayabusa wasnt on it or something. 2nd race was good, I think they gave the Busa the hit and he jumped ahead but then the Lambo begun to reel him in.

Nevermind... i read some comments from both owners. The busa rider saw the lambos brakes come on from brake boosting and thought something was up and they werent racing so he hit the brakes. The 2nd race they agreed to take off on 3rd honk with the bike getting a slight hit. Busa jumped out ahead until about 200mph then the lambo started to reel him in until they shut down at 230 !!!!

@caelanseth04 The first race the busa rider saw the lambo on brakes so the busa rider let off the throttle. Actually what the lambo was doin was he was actually brake boosting! The second race the busa got the jump. Race ends at 230mph. They both let off. Anyway the busa's boost controller was on the fry and there was a very bad 13mph sidewind, the busa rider had to hang off to one side while racing.

That turbo hayabusa in the first race seemed to be extremely down on power buddies turbo hayabusa has about 600 hp and set a prostreet record from a stand still at 7.28 at 206mph a few years back but that is a bad car by anyones standard. Awesome work!
