Now, cigarettes contain more carcinogens that are likely to bind themselves to cell walls in the lungs, causing cancer. I still think that most people use it too much and that is a problem because it leads to psychological addiction of the substance. Cigarettes are legal because the government can't enforce what people put into their bodies unless it affects their judgement and becomes a safety risk. My rhetoric is not as bad as what happens to most people with severe drug problems, or what their families and friends go through. To be blunt, drug addicts don't get my respect just because I think they are talented in other ways.

there was this satirical essay one of my friends wrote. Yet it's true. Some geniuses, some amazing figures, especially involved in rock n roll, did take drugs- and left behind beautiful music. Could anyone have stopped them? Their intentions weren't bad. It meant success. However, it doesn't justify anything.

ok so some of you would try some drugs, some of you would never touch any drugs. I think the point of it all is, it shouldn't matter to anyone else how you are going to treat your body and mind. Its all opinions. But in the long run, we should be free and have the right to consume or not consume anything. I personally believe that you can learn alot from drugs, if you are the right kind of person to do them. But I know many who can't handle them and thoes people shouldn't do them. know yourself.

I wouldn't bother if I were you - if you happen to have an addictive personality you might not end up just 'trying them', they can destroy you. And I don't mean just physically, spiritually too.
I thought I would try heroin and 5 years later, I've lost my house, my boyfriend, self-respect & everything else that was important to me. Over-dosed countless times & lost any confidence I had in myself...I'm not preaching - I'm just saying, be aware of what could end up happening. Take care

i definately agree with the prerequisite of competance/maturity. not referring to age ,but stability,a solid relationship between the mind, body,and spirit.having an outlet that you can focus your "experience" toward is something that alot of the most talented creative types just thrive on..and they thrive ,and then they die.the comment above was a response to a guy that calls some drugs "stupid"drugs. but the drugs he refers to are the ones most artists have utilised in persuit of success.

@MrReverendgreen heroin came from trying to making a morphine based pain killer that wasn't addictive it's uncertain where the name came from but it is guessed that it was because it helped so much it was heroic, it also helped allive breathing problems like asthma and cocaine was also a pain killer and if I'm being a complete numpty and what you meant was that they came from natural things, then the fact is as opposed to weed and shrooms their plant elements are manipulated in a lab
