Sor couldn't sell his studies because they were too difficult. Some of them were easy. There weren't many willing to practice the boring scales in every key.
Hola, sabes que hace una semana vengo trabajando con la partitura de este estudio y me negaba a escucharlo. La verdad que me ha venido muy bien ver y escuchar tu video para poder ajustar los tiempos!!!
very nice playing and I totally agree with you, this piece is everything but easy because of the interpretation needed. I 've also played it with different fingering, I've uploaded my version in my channel if you want to give a look.
Hi Troisand, I like your version of this & yes I agree it doesn't look so easy. I've just uploaded Op35 n1 & am now going on the hunt for this one. Happy playing, regards, Dave.
This is really Awesome..i go to a school of performing arts, and my teacher gave me this amazing piece. and watching you play it has made me understand it more.
Great job, I love Opus 35. If I remember right Sor refered to the pieces in op. 35 as 24 easy exercises which I always thought funny because I thought quite a few of them were rather hard. I think because Fernando Sor was such a prodigy he assumed other players should be able to play pieces more easily
These pieces op 35 are probably not too difficult concerning technical aspects but are demanding in terms of interpretation. I really love them - unfortunately they are rarely heard in recitals. Best wishes for your work, Andreas
I have enjoyed playing the guitar for many years, but I'm still struggeling to improve the sound even if the scores are marked: Very easy, sehr leicht, tres facile, meget enkelt ----! That's how it is. However, it's fascinating!!
You play it rather sweetly - pleasant to listen to, and your technique is nicely set up.. I was interested though in your vibrato - and particularly when you used it.. It should be for emphasis and sostenuto as much as expression, so therefore it should have appeared at 10,16 and 22; at 33,36,39 & 45 - and where was it at 1.33/34?? And by the way your fingering and therefore phrasing is wrong at 1.45/46: the first D should be played with the barre...you should change position for the second one!
Thank you for your interesting comment. I think I feel more than I think when I am playing. I hear a song in my mind and try to bring it out with my musical instrument. It's hard to create soundcoloures if the lingers are locked in a barre.
Compared to many of Sor's other pieces, this on *is* easier, but "easy" is a relative term. For a professional musician, yes, this is easy. But, for non-professional musicians (or professional non-musicians), most of Sor's "easy" pieces are quite difficult to play well. However, you do a very nice job, and probably need to keep a bit more even tempo through most of the piece, using tempo variations to add interest.
Sor Op. 35 No. 3 is indeed very easy technically, but the difficult bit is to make it sound full, emotional and interesting. Your interpretation is interesting, but personally I prefer it more fluid and in line with the beat. Good effect is achieved by playing the second part starting in C major a bit faster than the first part in A minor. A brief hold on the F major in the third last bar can also be effective. Listen to my video response for an example. Good work torisand.
I appreciate the care you take to play this piece. It is a good one. I tend to play things much too anxiously. I could learn a lot from your performance. Thanks.
After a hard day's work your performance was like balm to my hurt soul. You put so much calmness into this little piece, from the beginning to the end, it's amazing - and it immediatly calmed me down - thank you very much for this experience.
And for comment in your edition: I think there is no such a thing like easy music - not on the Guitar.
Thank you for taking time to write such a kind comment to me!! I'm honoured, proud and quite surprised of the effect my playing seems to have on so many listeners! Much appreciated!!
Thank you for your kind comment. You play "The Caprise" very well, but I think I would pratice it a little slower and consentrate on variation variation in the sound. (pont. tast. f. p. ----)I wish you good luck with your pratice!

Sor probably published OP 35 as "very easy" to sell more. "Easy" sells more than "difficult". Or maybe it was very easy to Sor, a virtuoso player.

Remarkable! I recently bought the 100 guitar graded pieces (Frederic Noad). I came across this piece and I fell in love (no cheese intended).
You play this very well. It is difficult in it's simplicity, and you sir have mastered it! Well done!
