@BKHipHopLuva718 I FUCKING hate the music today; the fucking radio and tv shows, fucking shit is everywhere in the USA, I guess shit sells fast, fuck the music industry run by fucking whites and jewish asshoes
all the popular rappers of today that want an award just because they donate a little money to Spellman or pass out turkeys on Thanksgiving, WHILE they STILL make disrespectful music at the expense of our Black women,... PAUSE.
Talk about UPLIFTING the Black women, instead of dissing her.
I don't care if that sista is wearing a weave, a ponytail, braids, relaxed, perm, afro, dreadlocs, cornrows, dyed hair, mohawk, or even BALD.
WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO RAP?!?! when is someone gonna start rapping like this again?!??!? FUCK ALL THE RAP MUSIC OF TODAY.... 90's will be considered as good as the 70's when it comes to music... I GUARANTEE IT.
@JahRed24x lol, just because you dont listen to good rap music on the radio now doesnt mean it doesnt exist. have you tried the likes of sage francis, eyedea, an astronautalis, to name just a few of many?
@songotenz02 all down to personal opinion, i like a lot of old school hip hop too, but when hearing goodmodern hip hop i can definatley hear a natural progression from the older stuff.
@Messiahs Tis true I still DJ but some of the junk in my Record Pool never passed the smell or the giggle test...in those days. There is a bit of Rose Colored Classes thing going on, but overall it was a better and different vibe in those days, the world was a different place too, but while the world has gone more negative, Rap has gone on the opposite direction instead of speaking truth to power like it once did.
@JahRed24x .... it went underground in LA NY and the South .... Its never comming back ... but just like our parents ... and all other decades ... ur last year of highschool is your musical peak ... nothing will ever be better than it and everything that follows is stellar wackness wannabe music .....lmao .... peace ! REAL HEADS !!!!
i have been just discovering 90's era rap/hip hop and finding all kinds of new music.. I just found this song and band, they are amazing... doper then the dopiest dope
I used to live at 114 roselle ave, donelly page home projects. the same place where wise is from. he's from what we use to call "the other end" of dolly homes, near the fine fair supermarket. our side always had beef with "the other end", even though we were on the same block, the same PJ, and the same street. to this day, I still dont know what that beef was about. this was back in the 80's. (R.I.P Kenny Mcbride).
@saczok - the author is correct - this is the version on the 2nd release "pure poverty". there is a version of shakiyla on the "holy intellect", but not the same one.
@djrodney13 The holy intellect is the slow version, that's dope too! Used to listen to it in Hs, after coming from a party dancing wit some girl...LOL
Very positive song, I love it!
