I loved this ad as a child: I actually believed it would happen. I was devastated when my clothes didnt change colour and have cool moving pictures on them. There was another ad around the time for a picnic bar, a girl starts to eat a picnic while sitting on a tree stump and a real picnic spread on a table cloth appears on a nearby stump: I thought that would happen too when I ate a picnic! kids!!

I would say the Violet Crumble is a poor imitation of Crunchie. Crunchie bars use REAL chocolate and the honeycomb inside has different textures between light and crispy and firmer (like violet crumble). Violet crumble is the inferior product.

When we used to watch these ads we thought that would happen to our clothes which is why we loved them. Just honeycomb in chocolate. Simple but so 80s :D

I remember this ad from around 1987 and I got it on DVD. I got it from Troy (TypicalAussieBloke) and I had no idea that was Naomi Watts.
