Someone, play Coheed and Cambria's "The Black Rainbow" song while watching this video, let this song begin for a few seconds and it all sync's perfectly.
@paddyotay "They've killed my husband," -- that is somewhat obvious, isn't it? The fact that the statement is in the plural proves nothing. She made the statement at a time of great emotional stress, and it should not be taken literally. If "[s]he knew," was she part of the conspiracy too? Wives with philandering husbands have been known to get their revenge.
At this time 4 out of 35 presidents had been assassinated... making it perhaps the most dangerous job in American history. Only silver lining is that there hasn't been an assassination since, but there almost was with Reagan. I mean, in what other country has such a high percentage of its leaders in history get assassinated? By comparison only one pope in the last 1,000 years was assassinated and even that was disputed.
Jackie was an extremly strong woman, I could only imagine what she was like when she was alone and able to break down... god bless her and God bless the entire Kennedy Family...
Does anyone know the name of the song beginning at 3:25? I remember hearing it on this tape and President Reagan's funeral. Not sure about President Ford or Nixon though.
@4everYoann1 Why don't you shut your mouth I seen my grandfarther funeral as kid and I was glad to attend there and My grandfather fought in war. I don't care how old or young I would rather attend a funeral to see my fallen friend one more time. SO KNOCK IT OFF
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Talk about stupid, Jacqueline Kennedy actually took her kids to see their father's funeral. A good mother knows that you don't take kids that young to a funeral, muche less their father's. It leaves them traumatized for life. Way to go Jackie -.-
@4everYoann1 Caroline might have some recollection of her father's funeral but I doubt if John Jr. remembered anything. He was too young. It was Jackies decision to have the children with her I believe and that was her right. Caroline seems to have grown into a well adjusted lady last time I saw her on tv. I've been to many funerals and mother's take their kids. Nothing wrong with that. Children are resilient, more so that adults so give Jackie a break. Best first lady ever.
Such a shame. This country really went down a hell-hole after Jack Kennedy died. Compare the early 50's to the early 2000's. No one could fathom a plane being flown into a skyscraper, Things were just so much simpler in that time...and it all seemed to end on November 22, 1963 at 12:30pm.
heres a theory that JFK died because he said he was going to legalize marijuana in his second term. he never got to his second term, i found an article on it recently, google How to Make Tanks out of Marijuana
it talks about making composites, fuel, food and plastic and out out the marijuana plant and says if it became legal it would cause corn/soy industry, oil companies, the cotton industry, pesticide industry, paper industry, and other industry go bankrupt .
miss kennedy wanted to walk to the cemetary and all the world leaders wanted to walk with her. it scared the hell out of the secret service because they said there was no way to protect all them people. and they all could have been killed during this time. sad but true.
@Harry244ful Ya know, you apparently don't give a dam that kids maybe looking at this video and reading comments to learn about things like this, BUT, you just HAVE to put a cuss word in there anyway don't you? The you apparently don't listen to reports and findings that Oswald didn't do it, he was a fall guy. The mafia and Cia were in on a joint plan! Watch your cussing!
Jack Ruby wrote a letter in jail and gave it to DPD jailer Al Maddox.
Video: NswSg9RmHHY
Part of it reads..."you must believe me that I know what is taking place, so please with all my heart, you must believe me, because I am counting on you to save this country a lot of blood-shed. As soon as you get out you must read - A Texan Looks At Lyndon (J. Evetts Haley, Mar 64) - and it may open your eyes to a lot of things. This man is a Nazi in the worst order".
Ruby - "When I mentioned about Adlai Stevenson, if he was vice president there would never have been an assassination of our beloved President Kennedy".
Reporter – "Will you explain it again"?
Ruby continued "Well, the answer is the man in office now".
"Everything pertaining to what's happening has never come to the surface. The world will never know the true facts, of what occurred, my motives. The people had, that had so much to gain and had such an ulterior motive for putting me in the position I'm in, will never let the true facts come above board to the world".
Reporter - "Are these people in very high positions Jack"?
I wept when I watched this video. I wept just like I did on November, 22 1956. JFK was a great man and one of our greatest presidents. O, what could have been.
Notice that they quit playing the Zapruder film on Nov 22 after George Jr became President. I have little doubt his dad supervised that horrible murder. I'm one who believes the elite banking interest had him whacked and had he lived this country would be a lot better off.

This was so sad, he had the potentential to be the best president in american history, he was so brutally murdered. I feel bad for Jacequine Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy. This was so heart shattering.

I think at 2:37 is the only time they show Jackie break down and cry. I heard stories she broke down at the Mass while they played "Ave Maria." I think that was their wedding song. Its amazing how she was able hold her composure in the public eye like that
I was only five when the assassination of Jfk took place, My heart felt so bad for Mrs kennedy and the children. and yet I also feel so angry that there have been a coveruo in the assassination , lies and deception has been fed to the american people.
I was in second grade when this happened. It was the first event I can remember happening outside my immediate daily life. Still, at the time I was mainly ticked that all the Saturday morning cartoons had been pre-empted. It wasn't until later that I began to understand it.
Well actually it is a fact, not a theory, but almost it's all a conspiracy, there is no way to get together all the assassins, you have to destroy the CIA, FBI, the mafia and the stablishment, it's easy but, the sheaple are to busy paying their houses, credit cards, etc.
Nearly 47 years later, my heart still breaks for President John F. Kennedy and his family. Lost Jackie Kennedy in 1994 and John F. Kennedy, Jr. in 1999. All of America's heart was broken during those uncertain and tragic days of November 1963.
There were two victims that day. I was four months old, being dressed on the table, when the news about JFK came across the radio. My mother turned to look at my grandmother and I rolled off the table. I had a booboo. Stupid shooters.
Thanks for posting. I was 5 years old when this happened and don't remember any of this. No matter what the state of the Kennedy's marriage Jackie pulled this off with class and grace. Sad to see little John-John in this video knowing how he would meet his tragic end decades later.

AmberWaves444 - Thanks for this presentation. For those who might be interested there is a book out right now entitled "Letters to Jackie: Condolences from a Grieving Nation." @jimbobjimminy No, Bobby never got over it -- and Jackie never got over it either. How can you get over your husband being killed right in front of you?
By having sex with each other? My God people! The Kennedy's were just power hungry pigs with no ethics or morals born with all the money and power in the world. Wake the hell up!
( 5:07] seeinq caroline, confused...not even knowinq what to do, really makes me cryyy . poor little qirl . she did not deserve to have her father taken away :(
lookinq at this and seeinq millions and millions of people cryinq for one person make you realize that John F. Kennedy really did leave a qreat leqacy on America && In everyone's hearts. i can't even imaqine how the whole country felt . how the kennedy family felt ! watchinq this really makes you want to a better person, so maybe someay you could be somewhat recoqnized like President Kennedy . ♥ ♥
Of course, he wasn't perfect, but his actions a year before this during the missile crisis saved us all and means we can call him great. What a sad day and what bravery from his family.
No, it's Richard Basehart, the admiral from the tv show Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. He also did some narration at the 1980 or 84 summer olympics in los angeles.
One of the saddest day in the History. Sometimes people tell me that they had a bad day at the office or what ever they consider as the worst thing in life that ever happen to them. Deep inside my mind I find those complaints ridiculous. What is a bad day at the office comparing to a woman that has to explain her little kids that their father will never come back again or to her self that she will never see the man she loved the most. strength of a person is not to be measured by weights lifting
wow, my own mother was just a child when this happened, but watching this was incredibly sad, knowing the full story ! I didn't get the pleasure of experiencing JFK myself, but my mother's fond memories are enough to make me feel I have. I hope Mr. Kennedy, Jackie O, and little Johnny are dancing in heaven together!
The world stopped on November 22, 1963 and this country has never been the same since. We only had him for such a short time and what we could have had will never been known and we are much less for it.
@copper2150 I was 10 years old when this occurred & the most memory I have of it is that it was the very 1st time I'd ever seen my dear sweet mother cry. Our entire family gathered around our black & white TV to observe this entire historic event. That alone motivated me to want to know as much as I could learn about the Kennedys & the overall history of our great nation.
in response to JDub... The bubble top was not bullet proof. It's fact that the bubble top was plexiglas and woud not have prevented the assassination in 1963.
Does anyone have any idea what the name of the piece is that begins at 5:25? I know it's not an actual piece played during the events of that day, but rather a feature of the documentary. Regardless, I'd appreciate any help!
you're stupid. it was inconceivable that someone would do that. the reason presidents since haven't used open motorcades since kennedy is because of kennedy.
I was a teen in high school that sad day. Truth, freedom, peace and prosperity would never be the same. Im 61 today and when as I look at this video I still get tears. Not just for the kennedy family, but for our nation. I understand the snare springs were loosened on the drums to give a load pounding beat that would forever be etched in the minds of those that watch the 3 day procession from the capital to Arlington. Im glad I lived to see JFK, as our president. He truly inspired me.
Man your correct! It sucks getting old, don't EVER get old , stay like Peter Pan, now theres another old Disney flick.Iremember Peter pan when I was just 5 years old 1953 I think! Man i cant remember shit any more, you see what i mean?
this is the first time i was able to view pres. kennedy's funeral rites since i watched it on black and white TV decades ago when i was still 3 years old. i feel more emotional now than i did then.
Ted Kennedy was a good man who did a lot of good things for this country - what have YOU done?
I always wondered how Dubya made it through 8 years without an incident, then I realized no one cared enough to go to prison for life for shooting a moron like him.
As my first grade students and I were going to recess that Friday afternoon, I saw some teachers huddled around a car listening to the radio. I was in line right behind mine. She was perplexed at the other teachers leaving the children somewhat less supervised as we approached the area of the parked cars and radio commentary. I heard her exclaim, "President Kennedy's been assassinated!". Confused, we went on to recess.
Bobwater, you are another right wing Republican asshole. Ronald Reagan was totally overrated and mediocre but you don't see me saying anything about him on any of his YouTube videos.
Given your rebel inclination, you probably would prefer the traitor Jefferson Davis like most of your fellow Confederates. The South lost the Civil War and you still are angry about that BamaChris. You hate JFK just like you hate Obama because they are not WASP conservative racists like yourself. JFK was and will always remain a historic figure and an American legend. A little insignificant man like yourself cannot change this fact with your meanspirited post on YouTube.
this is just perfect for my sister's American History project on JFK... she will be so happy that I've found this for her... thank you so much for posting this...
I was born in 61, to young to remember this time in history. But, I remember the killings of RFK and MLK very well. Such a time will never occur again in our country I hope.
@LesbianVampireLover - My sentiments exactly. We who lived it have a deep wound. The nation has a deep wound. Did the American people ever learn the lessons of hatred that this event taught us? Some did not, I fear. Please see my other recent post about a new book out. You might be interested in it.
this was awesome, thank you for posting this, my grandfather, my uncles, dad and mom, know the exact time, of that terrible, when they heard the news that kennedy was shot. they know where they were as well. my Granddad said he knew of two dates, Pearl Harbor, and Kennedy Assasination. so glad he had demintia so he could not remember a third terrible day, 9/11/01. I think two tagedies in a life time is enough.

Of course, he wasn't perfect, but his actions a year before this during the missile crisis saved us all and means we can call him great. What a sad day and what bravery from his family.

Sounds like Richard Basehart.

is that Gregory Peck narrating? I remember him narrating one of the 4 days in November documentaries awhile back.
ccjames69 1 year ago
No, it's Richard Basehart, the admiral from the tv show Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. He also did some narration at the 1980 or 84 summer olympics in los angeles.

I'm a Brit who can barely remember this, but the one thing that sticks in my mind is that weird haunting drum beat.
Still sticks in my head to this day.
RIP JFK

One of the saddest day in the History. Sometimes people tell me that they had a bad day at the office or what ever they consider as the worst thing in life that ever happen to them. Deep inside my mind I find those complaints ridiculous. What is a bad day at the office comparing to a woman that has to explain her little kids that their father will never come back again or to her self that she will never see the man she loved the most. strength of a person is not to be measured by weights lifting
adamsv1000 2 years ago 4
wow, my own mother was just a child when this happened, but watching this was incredibly sad, knowing the full story !

We only had him for such a short time and what we could have had will never been known and we are much less for it.
copper2150 2 years ago 32
@copper2150 I was 10 years old when this occurred & the most memory I have of it is that it was the very 1st time I'd ever seen my dear sweet mother cry. Our entire family gathered around our black & white TV to observe this entire historic event. That alone motivated me to want to know as much as I could learn about the Kennedys & the overall history of our great nation.

It's a shame that they never mention the anniverssary of kennedy anymore in November, at least in Europe. Why is that?

in response to JDub...

Ted Kennedy was a good man who did a lot of good things for this country - what have YOU done?
I always wondered how Dubya made it through 8 years without an incident, then I realized no one cared enough to go to prison for life for shooting a moron like him.

Joe K was a criminal scumbag who did not protect his family. Ted was meathead drunkkard.

Exactly. That's when I lost it, watching Jackie lose it when they played "Hail to the Chief". 47 years ago and we're still not over it.

I think two tagedies in a life time is enough.
thank you again for posting this,
