This song is just so amazing!! This is one awesome concert!! Loved it!! Queen is truly a phenomenal band! A band all their own! Once you hear them, you are hooked! And once you hear Freddie's absolute amazing voice and see him perform onstage, you are in complete awe! Freddie had the most amazing voice and was truly the best front man to ever be! He could captivate any audience! A true loss to this world when we lost Freddie. Oh how I miss him! ILY Freddie! R.I.P. Forever missed and loved!! ♥♥
in a concert in the early 70's freddie accidentley broke the bottom of his mic and he decided he didn't want it mending so it stayed the same for all his concerts
@Boganator4 I think what @alanmartin18 was saying was that Freddie's famous half-stand mic happened somewhere in the 70s while they were performing a gig, the mic stand broke and he continue to perform. Later, this would be his trademark ... singing with half a mic stand.
If you look how he holds his microphone its not like other people do it its different then again thats just one of the things that made freddie unique and the best !!
Freddie's vocals are well demonstrated, even with the lack of equipment. It's quite astonishing really to see his range and his ability to do his own backtracking.
i used to listen to this on my fathers lp when i was about 8 years old, becoming a metal enthusiast now 17 years later i personaly think this song is so damn metal.
Well I think the reason they changed is because they were changing with the times I mean they just have to come up with new stuff other wise they might be boring just being the same all the damn time oh yeah and I read some where they they were always looking for new sounds in there music.
the new sounds were just like all other bands whos just wants to make hits. they are far more interesting when they have their own sound, and not making hits.
totally agreee this must be one of the greatest rock songs of all time , and a night at the opera definetly one of the greatet most influential pieces of music of the 20 century, amazing, AN THEY PLAY IT LIVE!!!!! damn what a band!!!!
God praise queen, this song in under Appreciated, under played. shame. god bless BRIAN MAY. THE GREATEST GUITARIST IN ALL EXISTENCE!! have you noticed that for the sensational bands to be THAT successful they tend to have 2 GOD LIKE artists, for queen it was brian and freddy (not to ignore the drummer and base), for Led Zep it was Robert & Jimmy. Coincidence!? haa funny
echo machine???? most likely old school analogue tape delays... this is probably the band's greatest hard song...an obvious tie with WHITE MAN...which some people still don't hear. Thanks for the post...these really ought to be made available. it would allow the band to survive through these musical dark ages of commercial fear and ignorance.
lol you know what the cops did? the putted the main electricity out so the people needed to leave, and needed to walk home in the dark, because the cops sed the concert was going to far for some reason but its a great concert, queen rocks!
almost my favo queen song, it rocks, liar is a fantastic song to and the black side of there album queen 2 owns very hard to ( lol all writen by freddie the black side ) and as magnetikuz says, brain is underrated but not only brian, the entire band is to much underrated, they own people like michael jackson and madonna and of course the beatles, and robbie williams with his we will rock you sucked very much.

One of my favorite songs of Queen, Brian May is so underrated!

Shit performance, Freddie's vocals are bad and the echo-machine broke down. Impressive instrumentals though.
