  • Thats so sick that your so positive about your animals!

  • your snakes are SO beautiful! i just got my first snake, he's a ball python and i love him so much <3

  • @cutegayjason Love your set up, looks fantastic and easy to maintain. Merlin is also a stunning looking animal. I am currently researching Green Tree Pythons as I will be moving to the states soon and would like to get some. The irony is that I live in Australia where they are native yet it is easier and cheaper to get them in the states.

  • Dude, where are you located? I want you to make me an enclosure. Awesome job!! Nice video editing skillz as well.

  • Amazing cages! Great job!

I am getting my first Ball Python soon and I have an Exo Terra Heat Wave Terrarium Substrate Heater (Heat Mat) it's Desert Medium. But I was wondering, what do you mean by, you have a thermostat hooked up to it? I know it controls the temperature, but how would I go about hooking one up to my Heat Mat? I'd like to get my cage all set up for at least a week before she arrives, so I don't have to change anything after she's here. Thanks Jason!

  • I love there cages!! I would love to do something like that for my cages when I can aford to fix them up

  • hey jason. are you breeding them i just took a little peek cause im in a hurry but, if you are how much?

  • I totally love that mister I need one !!!! I get so dang tired of squeezing a pump spray bottle to wash down my enclosures LOL Also Thumbs Way Up !!!! You know me and my long comments sorry bout that !!

  • You have done one magnificent job of creating your enclosures and this is a great idea so they can see each other !!! I'm going to have to do the same thing when I get ready to breed the Argentines so they won't destroy their enclosures being apart. It really matters that they can see each other !! I just LOVE you colors that you use for your cages and especially the interiors !! AAahhh That's precious !!!! Medusa's Booty Dance :O) They do show pleasure as well as stress. Excellent Video !!!!!

  • @1softkiss Thank you so much! I do work hard to make their cages adequate and efficient and easy to clean! Medusa is very content and these guys love the heat panels and I do too, I spray in the morning and humidity builds to near 85 stays there several hours then slowly drops to about 65 to 70 by morning... its just about as perfect as it gets! I am still going to install a misting system when i get all the arboreal cages done.. I want to make another like that for Eden/Exception = )

  • Greatjob there Jason! You have a talent I don't possess.

  • @Mremerald3 Thank you! I am planning to build another identical to it to put Eden and Exception (etbs) in!

  • They look great jason... i love your ideas on the brick molding... cuz im always tryin to stay clear of wood... hope all is well and hopefully my big girl will be laying her eggs around Aug.

  • awesome cages man, how come no substate though? i know its not essential but wouldn;t it mimic a more natural environment?

  • @mcmason1503 I have only ever saw Medusa on the ground when she was about to lay eggs and Merlin on the ground a handful of times, gtps do not care if there is substrate, a lot of time and thought went into this cage and it is very efficient at meeting their needs perfectly.

  • @mcmason1503 Wood substrate isn't essential for maintaining a comfortable healthy environment for any snake. I personally discourage people from using it because it can harbor mites and can cause scale rot. Just something to consider. :O)

  • that setup is awesome :D

  • Jason,

You make keeping snakes even more interesting. I have no idea why, but i think it's just the way you treat them. You don't treat them indifferently, but you don't cuddle them and treat them like dogs or cats to the point where it's almost abuse either. You treat them like snakes, but in a good way.

  • @TMSreptiles They are my babies! I love each one of them. Some like to chill and hang out more than others and I treat them based on their behavior so they know I respect them.

  • @cutegayjason and I think that the very best thing about you is you notice the different personalities. Even if science doesn't agree with that and says they have no emotions, keepers like you still notice it. Oh and also, even if your belief that they have emotions and stuff is false, you keep believing it, but the animals don't suffer for it like some exotic pets do. I've seen kids who treat their snakes or frogs or whatever like toys, but you treat them like family.

  • Hey Jason where did you get the heat panel ? i just built a 8' x 6' x 2' cage it has a total of 6 cages in one and im having trouble finding a good way to heat it =/ any ideas?

  • @stevenw2032 just google pro-products heat panels and it will come up

  • wow thats a great enclosure! youshould turn that into a business lol i'd buy one!

  • Awesome cages!

You are a talented builder my friend and my goodness are YOU looking good these days. Especially compared to some of the older footage you have. Bravo!!

  • @SLE335 Thank you Susan! Just 10lbs more to go! I love making these cages because I know its makes their lives a little bit better each time I can upgrade them. I plan to make 2 more of those cages and stack them. Buttercup's mansion is almost complete, I hope to have it moved into the reptile room within a week or so!
