When I got the good 'ol Brick, I begged and pleaded for my father to get me this game for my Gameboy since my sister had a Gameboy Color and Super Mario Brothers Deluxe. The game was amazing, and this soundtrack gives me some major nostalgia. Being 16 and thinking back to gaming when you were 7, it just makes me remember my Gameboy and N64. :)

Personally, I think Super Mario Land is a bit dated now. It's still a good platformer nonetheless, but the controls feel heavier than Super Mario Bros., which is a bitch in those jumping sections. I love the final level, though.

Does anyone remember a game set in the future, black and white Armageddon on the original gameboy. You were a rebel soldier and could pick up different guns from machine to flame throwers making your way through and killing your enemies some soldiers monster robot things. You also could get into a little tank. There was one bit when you have to jump on these sort of monkey bar things and if you missed and fell into the fire you died. Dramatic soundtrack which is hard to hum in thecomment box.

I would say the major emphasis today is on, other than graphics, the amount of content. Fun factor be damned; as long as it lasts for over 30 hours it's a great buy! (There is a middle ground here, don't get me wrong. RPGs tend to have a crapload of content, and many of them are very fun. But then we have games with a needless amount of unlockables.)

I shed a tear when reading the IGN review of 3D Classics: Excitebike (I believe it was). They pointed out a lack of content. :|

yesterday, i was messing around on my GBA SP on Donkey Kong for the GB, and i realized something that i never realized before. just to make sure, i tried it with Tetris and it still worked! all you have to do is, as you're booting up the system, hold one of the four directional buttons. it actually changes the color scheme! left=blue, right=green/red up=brown, and down=yellow/purple! it's so awesome! (it only works with original GB cartridges. not GBC or GBA) thought i'd just let you guys know!

@WenGobou Yeah! after trying all of the combinations, i decided that my favorite is B+Left. for some reason, i just like the black/white color scheme. it seems to me like the "adding four colors" feature of the later game boys almost always just doesn't work out all that well. I just prefer the black/white. plus, it makes me feel old-school :)

A note about the current advertisement. If you enjoy Web Rpgs. DO NOT PLAY THAT ONE. Dungeon Fighter is a solid game. At least the gameplay is solid. The market system is overpriced. Plus the moderation in that game is auto-mated. They have real moderators. Though, the automated system. Can falsely label you as a cheater quite easily. Avoid all games hosted by that company.

This game was fun. I had a friend who owned it. I was sort of a gamer. Who would be occasionally asked. To play a game so I could get farther than them. This was one of those games. I don't remember exactly how far I got. Though, it was fairly far. I never beat the game. Though, I never owned it either. Actually, I didn't beat most of the Mario Games. Until I got a bit older.
