@XxWarriorGamingxX the main thing is not to dry fire it for an extended amount of time like a few round burst doesnt really do any damage to the stock aeg but if its a highly upgraded higher fps or something then it is more likely to do damage but when you play airsoft you dry fire allll the time like when u havent wound your mag enough or something along those lines and also you need to dry fire the gun 1 to 2 times to decompress the spring so it doesnt weaken.
@XxWarriorGamingxX some guns can handle dry fires and some can't i wouldn't worry about a version 6 gearbox cracking (whats in the p90) but version 2s (whats in m4/m16 variants) especially combat machines by G&G are very weak in the front no matter how much reinforcement you put on them. so try not to dry fire but dont worry about it, unless your using a v2
