I love Otep a lot but comparing them to Arch Enemy is pretty bad. Otep's speaking about politics and stuff, that's great. But their guitarist isn't all that special, their drummer isn't all that special, the only thing that really stands out is that Otep is a woman in a male-dominated career. And screaming her lungs out no less. Though that's positive.

Michael Ammot in Arch Enemy is at least a decent guitarist. He's not all that bad, but he's a lot better than whoever the guitarist is in Otep.

Dude, I love Arch Enemy too but there's no point comparing them to Otep. Both bands are good but Otep is something different. I don't know how to describe them except that they've got elements of skate punk, alternative rock and rap ... as well as death metal grunts. AE is obviously your classic death metal with the twist of Angela being a female vocalist. And Michael Amott has awesome technique. Come to think of it Otep has virually no guitar solos at all!! But both bands are great.
