I used to repeat this track over and over when it came out on vinyl. Couldn't believe I was so lucky to have urielfz record this for my listening pleasure. The images are really cool also. Loved the verbal mish-massh as the next track. Would love to have more "Shut Up And Play Yer Guitar" on the tube. adamisgood36 has done a wonderful job of cataloging the cuts on other Zappa greats that I would like to see more of in other video postings.

those of us that know, recognize this as a great version of the solo from The Torture Never Stops, and one of the reasons that Sheik Yerbouti is among Frank's greatest works.

Do you think muffin man is like the BEST FZ SONG EVER? it is one of the most accessible for everyone. You should listen to the 1968-1974 era (stuff like uncle meat, hot rats, lumpy gravy, weasel ripped my flesh, burnt weeny sandwich, chunga's revenge, the grand wazoo and waka-jawaka etc). After the commercial flop of the grand wazoo he made his music more easy to attract to more people (One size fits all) like you.

Because you are used to listen to easy music and you don't get all it's complexity. I am sorry but the first time you hear more complex music you have to get it first then you can enjoy it. trust me you'll have MUCH better thrills with this music and savant music than with easy music on the radio. Anyway this music is not that complex but it's lightyear ahead than what you hear on the radio. Try listening to some varese and stravinski.

i never listen to the radio, and i'd like to belive that the technical virtuosity of paul gilbert, the melodicity of BB King, and the power of Paco de Lucia are more than fit to be called "complicated". I'm also a great fan of Mozart, and of course love bands like Pantera, Metallica and the rock legends of ACDC. Sorry you think i'm a pop listening, rap loving loser; i just don't think there is anything technical, melodical or musical about this...

the solo was transcribed by vai and i truly can say that i burnt my fingers while learning that solo (yes i learned it, as far as i was possible^^).

my eyes were burnt too, cos of the bizarre notes in the transscription^^.

as it was said, its really one of the greatest solos by zappa.
