There are really rare cases of sleep paralysis where two people will have the same hallucinations because they're really close. As you said, these things happen at night, around 3 am. Try going to bed at a regular time. Sleep paralysis happens when you have irregular sleep patterns. So try having regular sleeping times for a while. Maybe they'll go away.
