@Curatalo506 Get off your knees and circle, keep your arm spaced so your not getting choked, then when when its the right time drive forward rather than sit and knee tap.
a "peek out" is the first move (well atleast thats what we call it). i have a demo of it on my channel. the second is a knee tap. nice job on the demos.
Great stuff! I'm a bjj guy and I suck at sitouts. I'm working on them though because I realize I lost my last tournament match because I hesitated and didn't try a sitout before getting caught in a submission for the turtle position. I like the detail about posting your hand outside of the opponents knee before sitting out. I'm going to try that out and see how much of a difference that makes for me. That might be the missing key.
i learnt this technique when i first started jits.... and completely forgot it.....never learnt it again from ...anyone again....remember liking it...so thanks .....gona put it into practice
looks like a decent technique but @ 3:42 while you are demonstrating the "far side knee tap", it looks like your opponent would be well on his way to a deep anaconda. Any thoughts on this?
the anaconda and darce are two things i always get caught with - i think swimming the arm so you end up on top is what should prevent the choke...i hope!
Also, what ONE main cue would you look for (in your opponent's position) when deciding whether you will first attempt the "sit out" escape, or first attempt the "far side knee tap" escape ?
This is escape from north-south when both you and your opponent are facing down (ie. he has you in a front headlock).
If you get a chance, can you PLEASE post a vid on escape from north-south when you are on your back, and your opponent is facing down (and your opponent has one arm curled back around your posterior neck). And escape from north-south head-arm choke (the one Jeff Monson does alot).
If you can be patient, we'll get around to this one. We call the position you are referring to as 69 position, but different camps have different names for everything.
Man.. I HATE it when they tell you they have a couple of techniques to do this or that.. but only show you one!
I always feel like I'm missing the 'best' one lol.

brilliant, thanks for the vids. two videos helped me out with my main 2 weaknesses - north/south escape and defense/counter to darce.
