How to change headlight bulb on VW Beetle 2009-10

It looks so easy watching this. I bought my 09 bug 6 months ago. With in the first month, the drivers side headlight went out. Now the passenger side headlight. Is this common for these to go out this fast? But then again, I don't know if they were original bulbs. Can anyone tell me where to purchase an inexpensive repair manual?

@sookiegamma you have to be mechanically inclided to change this anyway. not super difficult, but i don't see my wife doing this. Bulb life is very brand dependent - some only last 3-4 months, and nothing you can do

thanks. I just changed my light. The bulb was cheap and It saved me the labor cost! :D

wow, It was othing more than the fact that the battery discharged after about 5 minutes of doing this...

Mine didn't have the clamps, so I just flicked the lever and both the lamps came out with no prob, funny thing is the engine wont start after I did this, any one have an idea as to why this is happening?

Instead of removing the battery, you can remove the air intake box. Just as easy :)

@austinschulte thanks, probably LF lamp will go soon too. LH side definitely looks more troubling
