  • walkin' blues

  • kids my age. LMFAO

    not bad

  • I have a real Dobro, no the strings are not too high to play in a normalfashion. There is a difference in a roundneck and squareneck Dobro. Squareneck is strung high and played across the lap, a roundneck can be played with a slide or as a regular acoustic but it is no less a Dobro.

  • you play horrible. absolutely awful. you were right.

  • Where is your Dobro video. You must be really good to put other people down...

  • Dobro is a brand, not a guitar style. At least originally...

  • dont worry about how expensive the guitar is mate, the dobro i used cost me about £250, it doesnt make it any less bluesy, in fact playing something is more bluesy if anything :P

i've got some videos of delta blues slide licks that i've done on my profile if want to give some stuff a try :D

  • what is it your actuelly playing?

  • Give yourself some credit Bro! You are rockin' that rogue!!! If you feel like a cool sound try findin' the heaviest strings you can and play it in Open C....

  • Hey Mojo, first many thanks for sharing your talent and enthusiasm with us on YouTube! As a struggling slide player, I'd really like to see a bit more of your "three chord" treatment for some dobro licks!

Merci beaucoup de votre ami en Alberta,

    John B.

  • What a great idea! Merci :)

  • sounds like death letter by son house/white stripes

  • Aw...right Robert Johnson... stay away from the crossroads at night, or ya' might get a snake bite...!!!

  • I'll try and remember that :)

  • nice man remeber me lol. i subsricbed to ya man lookin forward to more vids

  • well the fret markers are different to a regularlar electric and acoustic if you get

but you did answer what i was about to ask with the tuning so thanks on that i imagine it hard to play slide in standard

  • Glad to have answered the question. Some musicians out there find it easy to play slide in standard tuning - the great, late Duane Allman comes to mind. Somehow, even I tried, I can't make it work :) So Open D it is for me!

  • out of question why are the frets different to regular guitars?

  • I am not sure I understand your question... the physical frets are the same. If you are asking about where I fret the guitar and the notes that come from it, then the answer would be because I am not playing in "standard tuning" but in Open D tunning. (DADF#AD instead of EABGDE...) let me know if I failed to answer the question correctly! :)
