Both these cases Ekman reacted way too late and ended up crashing into the goalie too fast and never showed signs of actually stopping. definitely some sort of penalty is the least he deserves, especially with repeated offenses.

I couldn't get a look at the Kipper hit but the Lundqvist hit actually looked like his elbow made contact with Lundqvist's head. And yeah goalies should always be protected when going for the puck, IMO...so since Ekman didn't even try to move out of the way, IMO, he's at fault.

He just put a hit on a player (Since goalies are considered players outside the crease) As far as the Lundqvist hit goes, I think he was just going for a solid check since you can see his position stay the same, but since Lundqvist was crouching, he hit the head. All just my opinion though...
